I have never had such a thoughtful and knowledgeable piercer. WOW! do they know they're stuff. from my industrial to shields to tribal jewery. they shop is serene and the energy from the staff is amazing. had a conversation about flesh hangings with one of the guys there while he did my sisters nose.\r if you have to get stuck, go to sttp. they will take care of you and all your modification needs.\r I can not say enough good things about them. their location used to be a seedy strip club employing dancers who were for lack of a better word lost women, myself included. but since STTP has moved in the area seems less depressed and flirting with a positive nature. more

FANTASTIC! 2/15/2006

I've gotten two piercings from STTP so far. My tongue and my lip. Both were done very well, and they were friendly and conciderate when they went about piercing them too. They always made sure I was perfectly comfortable, explaining what was going to be done, how to take care of the piercing afterwords, and so on and so forth. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the establishment is clean and organized every time I go in, even if just for a visit, and the outcome of the piercing is wonderful as well. STTP is the very best piercing shop I've been to, and I've been to many across the US and internationally. Alex is 100% a professional, as is his staff. His work is unprecedented. Just go in and take a look through his portfolio if you don't believe me! Simply amazing stuff. Always coureous and helpful. Best in town! 11/8/2005

What comes to mind whenever I walk into the shop is it's SO clean! Not to mention the welcoming piercers there to answer all my questions. They have the friendliest and knowledgeable staff I've ever came across. I have had multiple piercings done here and will never go to another shop. Cleanest Piercing shop I have ever been to 11/5/2005

It wasn't how incredibly nice and helpful the staff was that made up my mind to get pierced at Straight to the Point it was how clean the location was. This was the first piercing shop I have been to where I felt like I was in a doctors office. The staff has gone way beyond what a normal piercing salon does for sanitation and that made me feel extremely comfortable with them. Kimberli was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. The aftercare provided made sense and she even cleared up my misconceptions about how a pierce should be take care of during the healing process. If you are looking for a CLEAN and friendly atmosphere to be pierced in this is it. more

A clean, friendly and knowledgable shop 8/4/2005

I took my daughter in for an orbital piercing and was very impressed with the shop! Alec was great: wonderful attitude, deep knowledge, very open about his procedures both for cleanliness and piercing. I love the light, open feel of this shop: local artwork on the walls, bright airy space, piercing room open to view (unless you want the curtians closed!) There was no mystery to any of this... Alec explained everything from placement to aftercare, put me well at ease. My daughter's piercing is healing wonderfully, and I'd go back to this shop any time. more

First time, great experience 6/23/2005

My first time at STTP and I'm really happy with my experience here. The store is clean and kinda artsy and the girls working there were very friendly and helpful. I've had my nipple piercings for four days now and the only soreness I have felt at all was when the needle was initially being pushed through. They're healing quickly and beautifully and I thank my piercer's skill and careful advice on aftercare for that. I will definitely come back here for future piercings! more

Fantastic! 4/5/2005

Just last Sunday I went in to Straight To The Point to get my tongue pierced and I walked out happy. They did a wonderful job making sure I understood the process of the piercing and how to take care of it and they were nothing but courteous. They always made sure I was completely compfortable and ready before they went to the next step of the piercing. I was amazed. And they pierced my tongue in a place back on my tongue that allowed for room in my mouth so that the barbell would not hit my teeth or be in the way of anything. And the best part is it was pretty much painless! And they didn't even have to numb my tongue! Straight To The Point is absolutely the best place I've ever been pierced at. It's not often I consider using ""pleasant"" in connection with anything involving needles, but it was honestly the first word that popped to mind. STTP is a great little place - the store itself is practically spotless and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and careful. I had two piercings done there today and couldn't have asked for a better experience. more

I've been visiting straight to the point for three years now and I refuse to go anywhere else. Alec and his crew are incredibly professional, experienced and intelligent. The piercers will answer any questions you have, go out of their way to help you, and are really cool people. Alec doesn't just put holes in people, but is working to show that body modification is a beautiful art form. The shop is impecable...very sterile, well organized and stylish. They have a wonderful selection of jewelry and if they don't have what you want, they can order it. None of the ten piercings I've had done at STTP have caused me any problems and have healed beautifully. Alec also uses Tygon. My friend recently had temple piercings done. Alec used tygon and they look fantastic and are healing perfectly. Bottom line...don't be a wanker...go to straight to the point. Pros: Quality, Convenient, Experience more

They showed an honest concern for the health, safety, and wellbeing of their clients. i have already gotten three piercings there, and I plan on getting about three more. THAAAANK YOU 10/29/2004

yeaaa, so i've wanted my septum done for a while, and so finally on a spurr i said why the hell not. With reasonable hours (open till 10) i jumped right over to STTP , they explained everything, all my options and helped me make the right choice for what was the best for my face and piercing. I only wish it hurt a little more. I'm soooo pleased with it. It was my first visit and i cannot dream of going somewhere else. Out of all the places i've been pierced and tattooed i have never run across a nicer guys and a more comfortable atmosphere. I want more piercings just to go visit them again. more

Clean, Professional, a bit pricey 9/30/2004

Alec changed my piercing the other day. It was very smoothly, painlessly done and I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the entire shop. Much better than the dingy places I have visited in the past in Portland. They got me in and out in 5 minutes (Alec even interrupted his lunch to help) I was very impressed, although they charged $15 for an acrylic ""retainer"" - which seemed weirdly expensive for what it was. I have seen piercers all across the country. Alec, Emily, Kim & Kendra run a very professional company. The stores are clean, well lit, and make you feel comfortable. When I got my most recent piercing, they answered all of my questions knowledgeably and made me feel like I was talking to medical professionals. They are the only piercers I know who guarantee their work, and I was extremely impressed by their cleanliness, attitude and jewelry selection. Awesome piercing... 9/8/2004

I initially chose Straight to the point because of the rave reviews on this site, and they really live up to the hype! I was a little nervous to get my nose pierced, but the entire staff was really supportive and ready to give their opinion and advice. The studio has moved to 3rd avenue, and they're open 'till 10 o'clock, so the info on this site is currently incorrect. The owner pierced my nose, and one of his apprentices sat in (and held my hand!). I highly recommend -- very sterile, comfortable environment and highly trained, friendly staff. Finally I have discovered my ""point"" 7/3/2004

I have always been fascinated and into body modification. I have had many bad piercing experiences while seeking a studio i could totally trust. After searching, I came across Straight to the Point and wanted to buy new jewelry for a badly pierced industrial. Alec Bezzina, the owner of STTP, refused to sell me a barbell and advised me to take it out and said he would repierce it for me. I truly respect him for not just trying to make a profit off of me but for caring about my health. I have since been pierced by him numerous times and will NEVER go anywhere else ever again. Something New 6/3/2004

Due to work, I am newly relocated to the Portland area. I decided to tour some of the areas piercing shops. I've been pierced many times, and had some SCARY experiences, in piercing/tattoo shops...Long story short-I went to 4 shops and I was not impressed, until I saw the ""straight to the point"" shop. It's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the Goth-shock or the Biker/Tribal/HEAD shops (that unfortunately seem to be the standard in body mod shops now-a-days)....This shop looks like my dentists office! It's clean, uncluttered and totally unoffensive to the eyes.The piercer Alec Bezzina, is the owner, and he guarantees his work! More amazing still, was I chose a difficult pierce, and he explained everything I might encounter through the healing process!! Alec has some 15 years experience, and it showed in everything he did!
