I had searched for a moving company for about a month to move from California to Oregon. The staff, Marisa/Lesley, who answer the phones are always extremely nice and promise you the world. At first there were issues around picking up my delivery and if they could get a tractor-trailer into my apartment complex, eventually they told me and I’m quoting Marisa, ""Absolutely we will be bringing a box truck."" This is the first hidden charge they jumped me with, of course the contract has fine print and they brought the semi because last minute they got more business. They ended up renting a Penske truck and I had to foot the bill for their added business. \r

They were suppose to show up at my apartment around 11:00AM and eventually they showed up at almost 9:45PM and didn’t leave my apartment until almost 3:00AM the next morning. Originally I was told that the shipment would arrive in Oregon 3-5 days later, more fine print shows they have 21 days before they violate their contract. \r

14 days after my original requested date they arrived with their own New Planet Moving box truck (go figure) this meant my load was loaded on the Penske, transferred to the New Planet Tractor Trailer, Shipped to Las Vegas, Unloaded who knows where in Las Vegas, sat in Vegas for 2 weeks, Loaded on a New Planet Box Truck, and shipped to Oregon. Of course they claimed that my shipment was over its weight and still do this day (33 days later) I have not seen any written proof, in the end I had to pay over 500 additional dollars just to get them to release my furniture. Well as you can guess no matter how well you pack your stuff, if the people moving it around multiple times don’t take excellent care it, stuff will get damaged, sure enough…\r

My Desk that I have had for years that is made by a company no longer in business was cracked in several spots where they put the hardware back in the holes instead of placing them somewhere safe, My couch which was almost brand new had obviously been tossed around with little care and the seams in to different locations are torn, The hardware for my TV stand is missing, good luck locating that! One of my end tables was missing, and several of my boxes and their contents where completely smashed.\r

I started working with Moses (I think he is the owner?) to get this resolved, instantly he started patronizing me (probably because of my age, I am young and sound younger over the phone) eventually he said that he would like to resolve this internally between me and New Planet Moving and we agreed a dollar amount and he would be sending me the release form. I got the form and of course it was for a different dollar amount and the fine print basically wanted me to give up my rights to even write a review like I am writing now. The dollar amount was such a slap in the face based off of everything they put me through I felt my contribution in not signing away my right to let the world know about their horrible service was worth way more. You have been warned, they should change their name to horrible planet moving.\r
