I just wanted to take a minute to let you guys know how much I appreciate you moving me last minute. I had a 3 bedroom home and you came and moved me 3 days after I initially called you. I didn’t even know where I was going and you gave me storage for FREE. You guys were my angels in this entire ordeal. Then when I finally did get my place the guys you sent over were super nice, they even helped me mount my TV without charging me or anything. I didn’t have any money to tip them but I did make them tacos and I definitely wanted to write you a review so you can share my positive experience. The cost was great too. Thank you so much my angels!! more

The guys from New Planet Moving were good . I actually lived a couple of doors down from this company , so when the time to move came , it was a no-brainer as to who we were going to use to move us out a few blocks away. We had way more stuff than I'd estimated (as always seems to be the case!), but the guys had us moved in just a few hours and were off to their next job before I even know what hit me. It was like an tropical whirlwind coming up and picking up all our stuff and put it all down gently across to our destination. more

The estmiate given was exactly what was paid and the movers and packers did a fantastic job in protecting our belongings. I dont know how such a company stays in business. Its full of liars, swindlers, con-artists and thieves. \r \r I was provided an unreadable list of items that were packed and tagged. Due to this, there was no real way to track my items. \r I paid for packing materials but they weren’t used by packers. Materials such as my drapes, sheets, towels, etc were used. Items such as empty, plastic renuzit (room freshener gel) was protectively packed, yet breakables weren’t. Filthy and unsanitary items such as used kitty litter items were mixed in with towels, unwrapped.\r When it came time for delivery, they forced me into accepting an early delivery, telling me that my items had already been packed and were on their way. The expected (and forced upon me) early delivery date was not met, they didn’t even call me in advance to tell me that they weren’t going to be there on the day they forced me into. Even after calling and complaining to management, they didn’t call to explain or apologize why they didn’t make the date they said they would be there. \r Delivery was the worst. At about ¾ of the way done with the job, they got tired and decided to not finish the job. I had to put together major items (king size bed) myself, they claimed to have no tools and that my drill wasn’t working, yet, I was able to get my tools to work myself to complete the assembly of my bed. I was told by the driver (Brian) that I couldn’t keep telling him where to put stuff (really? I thought that’s what I was paying for). They left the house in absolute shambles (see attached pictures). They didn’t put any items where they would ultimately go or stack any boxes as did all previous reputable moving companies I have used (United Van Lines, 2 Men and a Truck). They told me they needed to hurry up and finish and attend to the complaint they received for the job before mine, not surprised they got one. \r But the worst is yet to come….my items were moved in on a Thursday, on Saturday morning, I came home from work at 945AM and found all of my electronics stolen. My house had been broken into and only my TVs and computer monitor were missing. Yet, these items were still in non-descript brown moving boxes that didn’t say they contained electronics. But the movers knew what were in these boxes because they asked me about them. I am sure it was them that stole them. A police report has been filed and their names have been given. \r more

This company is a scam! Do not use this moving company. After showing up 3 hours late and no one would return my calls, 2 people showed up and we were promised 4-5. The truck was already half way full for our 13,000 lbs of house. I told them we had a 5 bedroom house to move approx 3000 sq ft. Our contract said 13,000 lbs and when we weighed in, it came to 9,200 lbs. We had to rent a U-Haul for the remainder of our belongings so there went another $1,500. The truck came 3 days later then promised and we were told the truck would not unload a thing until we produced a cashier's check for the other half. We gave them a cashiers check to get our stuff but we will also be contacting an attorney. The guy who is in charge of dispatch is RUDE. Does not let you get a word in at all, just yells at you that it's your fault. I've moved with other companies before and never had an experience like this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Another company tried to give me a heads up and told me how awful it would be. but we had already put down the deposit and I honestly thought it could not be that bad. Boy was I wrong! I don't know how they are still in business. Even the two guys who came wanted to quit because they said the company does this all the time. They are supposed to contract with other movers in the area to help load the truck and those people had never gotten a phone call to come move us so no one came. I felt really bad working for such an awful company, there were at their wits end. What an awful experience, I will NEVER use the company again for anything. STAY AWAY! more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! After I was promised a specific move date as an incentive to put down a deposit, I was called a week before that date to move the date back 3 days. This was impossible for us as our flight was booked for the day after the scheduled move. They could not have cared less and said all we can do is refund your deposit, leaving me a week to work it out. more

I had about 2 weeks to move 1br from utah to michigan and was scheduled to use a UPack 10"" trailer(doing the loading/unloading myself). I got a call from New Planet asking if i was still looking to move and I was like sure why not, give me a quote. Their quote came out to be lower than UPack and incl loading/unloading. I jumped on it and they actually gave me a 2 day timeframe when they would come pick up my stuff. The driver initially talked about doing it at 3pm but he ended up loading at 7 (few hours didnt matter). Everything was professionally wrapped (blankets and stuff). they mark every item with a tag so that helps. I was told storage was free and that helped as i didnt have a place of my own in MI. I think UPack was going to charge me addl for storage. Once I knew where I was going to live, i gave them a call to deliver my stuff and it took about a week after that to deliver. Unloading was fast and easy. Nothing was broken. Everyone i called to get a status on my delivery was nice and friendly, Summer, Lauren, Camarin. I am definitely going to recommend them to my friends. more

Starting with the salesperson that called me, the guys that picked up my belongings, the dispatcher who helped me through the schedule, and the movers at destination and ending to the set up of my items in my new home I can honestly say I am happy I chose this company. Like many of the other moving companies they had a few bad reviews out there on the internet. With New Planet Moving I noticed they didn't have many positive reviews (some companies had tons which led me to believe that they were writing them themselves) but I did notice the few bad ones were so far apart time-wise. So I thought well, one a year or so ain't bad at all. The girl I spoke with kind of wanted me to over quote my things which made sense to me. I had heard a lot of stories from friends about over charges. When the movers arrived they were dressed in uniforms and had all the packing materials that I needed. They had me sign off on the paperwork and went straight to wrapping and disassembling all of my items. They cleared my home out in only 4 hours and I had a ton if stuff. The delivery was 2 days later than I hoped for, but they told me upfront that no mover guarantees delivery dates so I was OK with just 2 days. The only thing is one of my photo frames was cracked which isn't that bad for a far move like mine. The guys at delivery set everything up where I wanted, and even put the boxes in the proper rooms for me. I will use them again if I move, which I hope I don't because I love my new house :-) Thank you to Lauren, Summer, Joel, and the helper too (sorry I forgot your name). more

I used New Planet Moving twice in the last 4 years. Both moves went well. We didnt have any losses, or damages. In both instances the movers who arrived were uniformed and professional. On the more recent move I had a lot of stairs, but as a repeat customer they did waive the cost for that. We were quoted at $1390.00 on this move, and the rate stayed the same. I did have a small scratch on the back of my dresser, but no one will ever see that. I mentioned it in a follow up call with New Planet Moving, and they are sending me a check for $50 anyway to repair the small scratch. This was superb and I truley was appreciative. I did not take advantage of the storage this move, but they do offer up to one month free with long distance moves. So some people may like to use that as well. At delivery the movers were helpful, they reassembled everything and took thier time with me and my indecisive furniture placement issues LOL.... This company also offers a referral bonus to anyone that referrs thier friends, family or etc. I have gotten a couple nice gifts from referals also. more

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how please we were with your company during our recent move. My first contact with New Planet was Lesley. She was very helpful and easy to talk too. I had concerns about some of the reviews that I had seen for ALL of the moving companies. I asked her is this was just a bad business or what. She took the time to explain to me that in the moving business some people are just not honest with themselves. They like to think that they only have an average amount of belongings and that is the message that they convey to your staff. They amount of pounds of their move is figured on what they have told you. When the truck arrives it is discovered that they live on a dead end street that the truck won't fit down, they have twice the amount of belongings that they disclosed etc... I found this information very comforting!! I went over our inventory with her and even had her check our pick up and delivery locations to be sure that there would not be any trouble getting the truck to our homes. 2 weeks before our move I called her and asked if we could add to our inventory. She was very accommodating. The day of our pick up the 3 gentlemen that cam were GREAT! they introduced themselves and went right to work. They were very careful and asked all of the right questions about our items. Our weight came in appx. 500 less than Lesley's estimate and all was good. I was contacted when our belongings left Las Vegas and the driver was in touch with me twice during his trip across the US. He told me which day he thought that he would arrive and just as we had agreed he called me when he was an hour away from our new home. We arranged to meet at a truck stop close to our new home and when I arrived her was waiting just as he said he would be. He followed me to our new home and the unloading began. The unloading went just as well as the pick up. These guys really knew what they were doing!! Thanks so much to everyone at your organization that helped with our move. To the owner or manager of Planet Moving CO, I just want to thank you, and your wonderful staff. My name is Joan Courvyer. My Daughter Jackie took care of me getting moved. To Calif. Yaniv Steimberg is such an asset to your company. This man took such great care of my belongings and did this all on his own. No help at all. He did a move prior to me, spent four hours on my move and then has just left to do a full house move. then he will drive 4 hours back home to Las Vegas. All on his own! I know all of us are so grateful for jobs these days but I have to ask that proper recognition be given to this man...he went above and beyond the call of duty.\r He represented your company in such a positive light that you can count on me to recommend your services. more

I just want to tell you that we were pleased with your service from\r beginning to end. The guys at pick up were courteous and efficient.\r We made contact with Carlos. He was kind and kept us up to date as to when he would be delivering. Both guys were patient and did a nice job. My daughter was a little stressed during delivery and at the end found damage on a Secretary Desk. Carlos took a picture and said they would take care of it. He couldn't have been nicer. Later, I was able to point out that the damage was not on the part of New Planet but at another time period. When she was able to be calm, she had to agree that it was not New Planet's fault. Please disregard the damage claim. I thank you for your service and definitely will recommend your company to others. more

I am using your company to move from Chicago, Illinois to California. During the moving process, I have changed my inventory list, made periodic payments to prepay before the movers arrive and have\r requested various changes be made to my contract. Throughout everything, Lauren has been helpful and efficient. I have never\r dealt with a customer service representative that was so enjoyable and who helped me trouble shoot every issue that came up. She is an amazing asset to your company and the key reason that I decided to go with New Planet Moving and Storage instead of one of your competitors. Because of Lauren's ability to turn the headache of moving into an easy transition, I plan on always coming to New Planet with any relocation needs\r that I may have in the future (pending the safe arrival of my items, of course!). more

Lauren Alexandra was the first individual that my husband and I spoke with at New Planet Moving in May as we were obtaining quotes from a number of moving companies. Lauren was very patient as she listened to our questions and concerns as this was our first major move across country from Ohio to California. She followed up with occasionally after we received the initial quote as we were trying to make a decision. Based upon a number of references that Lauren had provided and I had made contact with the references, we made the decision to select New Planet Moving. Lauren once again was very patient as I believe I had her walk through the inventory list three times and our list continued to change. She suggested that we slightly over-estimate which was the right call...we still had more inventory than what I had given her the final time! Lauren said that we would have the person in charge of our move call me the day before they arrived, and he called as expected! Leo and Daniel were two energetic movers with a great sense of humor. They worked extremely hard as they packed up the semi-truck on a somewhat hot-humid day dodging one short-lived rain storm. I walked them through all three floors of our house and they did a beautiful job wrapping and protecting the furniture that I had not disassembled, as well as wrapping up a number of our large framed pictures. Leo gave me some great pointers as I was still packing the last of the boxes when they arrived. I was amazed at the precision of packing from floor to ceiling...I thought I was a good packer! Upon arrival at our townhouse in California, Leo and Daniel once again did a great job efficiently moving all the furniture into the respective rooms, reassembling furniture, and patiently waited until I moved my cats to a different bedroom so they could bring the last bedroom furniture and boxes upstairs. Although my husband fell asleep on the couch and my mom and I were busy orchestrating where everything was to be placed late into the night, Leo and Daniel were professionals. When we are ready to move again, my first call will be to New Planet Moving! more

Except for today's confusion over payment, everything went great on both ends of the move. Both crews were excellent. Our furniture was well cared for and arrived in great shape. I may have mis-heard you about =\r ""postal money order"". I thought a money order from Wells Fargo Bank would be just as good. At any rate, the agreement for a cashiers check today at least meant only one more trip to the bank, rather than having to deal with the bank and the post office while the crew waited. Thanks for all your help setting things up. Everything was true to your word. I would certainly recommend New Planet Moving to anyone else. more

The sales rep was nice, helpful slightly pushy. If I didnt need 3 quotes and had two weeks to do everything for a 5000 mile move I would never have bothered with them.\r \r The sales rep said they could do everything that I was looking for which wasnt much. Storage in the area I was moving to until I had an adress and date for delievery. as well as someone to transport my car.\r \r I was packing everything and there wasnt much. I explained everything I had and they sent over a contract with a price and everything.\r \r Once all my quotes were in my company choose them as they were the cheapest... so cheap in fact my gut said it was wrong.\r \r I tried to convince my boss they werent right for the job but money talks... or rather not having to spend money talks.\r \r They regret it now.\r \r On pick up date they switched from weight to size of move. the price went from 1800 to almost 7740. And this was after having to explain over and over that I was not paying them a cash dposit that my work was paying for everything.\r \r Which I had covered with the sales rep.\r \r They took my stuff and after it was on the truck informed me of the new price and oh by the way surcharges for stairs and if the have to use a smaller truck for delivery.\r \r I had no choice at that point as I had to be on the other side of the country working in less then 48hours.\r \r My car was supposed to be picked up the same day... wrong again they were told it was ok to pick it up the next day.\r \r After negotiating again I had to drop it off....\r Once I got to the company to drop it off I again had to negotiate that they take it since the person I spoke to forgot to mention they dont take cars after a certain time even though they are open 24hours.\r \r They delievered my car without giving me any notice and instead of door to door like it was supposed to I had to take a train 50 miles away to pick up my car and again explain that the car had a deposit and I didnt owe the full amout before they finally released it.\r \r My belongings took 2 weeks too long as the sales rep lied and my stuff was not locally stored it was kept in Vegas.\r \r My work kept calling and calling and so did I... no call backs.\r \r After the overpriced move far more expensive in the end then any of the other quotes. \r \r They called me on a Thursday and said they could deliver saturday or sunday.... short notice but chance had it I was off saturday.\r \r I informed them I was off only saturday and unavailable sunday.\r \r On friday they left me a message saying they were delivering on SUNDAY... WTF.\r \r I called back again, explained again that i was working sunday and saturday was it.\r \r They said the boss would call... no call\r Called again... boss would call.\r NO call.\r \r Finally called again ... oh boss said delivery 10pm saturday.\r \r Then they tell me they want to charge me more money cause they cnt bring the big truck where I live.\r And how am I paying them.\r \r I told them to contact my work all payment goes through them.\r \r When my belongings arrived they were thrashed. Boxes were ripped, broken dirty.\r \r They said they had to put some boxes in new boxes cause others got broken.\r \r One drawer on my chest of drawers no longer opens.\r My cat post is missing.\r They tried to give me someone elses table\r I have someone elses box which contains a drum.\r \r Now I have to wait another week for my missing items, and to return someone elses missing item.\r \r Every step of the way after the sales rep is done they turn unethical, uncomminicative, and frustrating.\r \r I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THEM TO ANYONE.\r \r PEASE DONT USE New Planet Moving in Las Vegas for any move. more

The goodness of New Planet Moving and Storage seriously made my actual moving day go with ease. These guys were efficient and awesome. Before the move, they were very nice and accommodating in my early start time. Then when I had to push back my move date, they adjusted their schedule accordingly. These guys complied with all the annoying requests from both my old place and new place and they did the whole job in 2.5 hours only! The movers were nice, and simply made my day. Nothing was broken and everything went as per the schedule that day. My only concern was that due to some reason they did not accept payment thru card on that day and I had to arrange for an alternative payment arrangement. more
