very grateful 5/8/2012

Just a note to thank you for our move. We were very grateful to have our own 26' truck, so our goods could not only come directly to our new home, but did not have to be offloaded at all. Thank Roman, too, for the good job he did in finding his way around Chicago and the ""elevated"" tracks. This is a somewhat tricky town to drive in and he was a great help to us. All the best for your future success. more

very good service 5/7/2012

We would like to thank you all for a very very good service of moving us from Las Vegas, NV to Boca Raton, Fl. Everything went smoothly without no problems. You were on time, the Crew was excellent and we would recommand anyone your Company. in the next future, we are looking to move some more equipment. Thanks again. more

Thanks for a good experience. 5/4/2012

Shelly, our business with you is done for now. Let me just tell you again Thank you for remaining communicative through the entire event. As I said before, over the 15 year I lived in Las Vegas. I as well as many Deaf people endure a lot of rudeness from many businesses. You and your drivers both times I met them were such a wonderful and positive different experience. I will be sure to let anyone I know, whether Deaf or not who plans to move to seriously consider using your company. The guys in Las Vegas and the ones who came here to Kentucky were so easy to work with and just very pleasant people. Thanks for a good experience. more

been helpful and efficient 5/3/2012

I am using your company to move from Chicago, Illinois to California. During the moving process, I have changed my inventory list, made periodic payments to prepay before the movers arrive and have requested various changes be made to my contract. Throughout everything, Lauren has been helpful and efficient. I have never dealt with a customer service representative that was so enjoyable and who helped me trouble shoot every issue that came up. She is an amazing asset to your company and the key reason that I decided to go with New Planet Moving and Storage instead of one of your competitors. Because of Lauren's ability to turn the headache of moving into an easy transition, I plan on always coming to New Planet with any relocation needs that I may have in the future (pending the safe arrival of my items, of course!). more

nothing was damaged 5/3/2012

Thank you unequivocally for making our out-of-state move less stressful. The team that came in disassembled all furniture down to the nuts and bolts and on the other end where able to put every piece together again as new. The most important is that nothing was damaged, all items where in perfect condition. New Planet Moving & Storage gave that mom-and-pop personal touch and the most reasonably priced for the current down economy. more

Excellent job!! 5/2/2012

Just a quick note to let you know that everything went really well on the move. I was very happy with the Driver, Jorge and Louis...they worked extremely hard and were very efficient with their performance. I would recommend New Planet Moving to anyone who is looking for good movers. Excellent job!! Thanks again. more

excellent service and crews! 5/1/2012

We want to thank you once again for providing excellent moving service that resulted in an easy and efficient move. We say ""once again"" since this is the second time you performed a move for us. The first move was a local move and we were duly impressed with the timeliness in which the crew appeared, the careful yet fast-moving way in which they worked, and their constant courtesy and professionalism. This time your company performed an interstate move. Again, we observed and experienced the same high quality in the crews in both Nevada and New Mexico. Both moves were extremely smooth and without incident. Our items were packed and loaded carefully, and then cheerfully unloaded in New Mexico without damage. We have and will continue to highly recommend your company to our friends. Moving is never easy nor fun, but New Planet Moving & Storage makes it go as smoothly as possible. Thank you for providing such excellent service and crews! more

They also provided useful tips 4/30/2012

I wanted to let you know how well the move went. The drivers went to great lengths to position the truck in such a way that I would not have to pay the long-distance carry charge. They also provided useful tips on assembling some of the items they moved. I would recommend New Planet Moving and Storage to anyone. Thank you. more

Great Experience 4/29/2012

These guys were great - booked a move just a couple days in advance and a lot of other companies couldn't fit us in, but these guys managed to on Sunday night. Moses was super communicative about confirming the move, when they'd arrive, etc. On the day of the move, the crew who was going to do our move was still finishing up another job, so Moses showed up on a Sunday night w/ 2 guys and did the move himself. They were very polite and respectful and QUICK! Would DEFINITELY hire them again. more

Great Service 4/26/2012

We used New Planet Moving for our move from a one-bedroom apartment two weeks ago. This was my first experience with hiring them and I was anxious after hearing endless horror stories from friends and co-workers. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with New Planet Moving, from the initial inquiry call to the actual move. The booking process was easy and clear, the two movers were on time and very friendly (and fast!!) and the actual cost was very close to the estimate, even after they warned us after seeing the apartment that we had an unusually large one-bedroom apartment and they might take longer than originally estimated. My only advice would be to clarify in advance how many wardrobe boxes they will have available the day of, as we could have used one or two more. I will definitely be using them the next time I move. more

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful job 4/26/2012

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful job moving our estate in Las Vegas up to Seattle. The whole process was painless and you were very helpful. I'd recommend New Planet to anyone needing moving service. more

New Planet Moving made my move smooth :-) 4/25/2012

I moved with New Planet Moving from Ohio to Northern California. They picked my items up well within the window of 2 days they initially quoted. The movers were all really nice and reminded me of my sons. The quote upfront was about $100 less than most of the other companies that I had been comparing. the girls I spoke with there were always so kind and helpful so I elected to go with New Planet Moving. Everything was wrapped carefully, and I had no damages to my items. I recently spoke with another girl there at New Planet Moving to let her know I was referring my daughter and her friend/roommate to move with them as well. New Planet Moving always answers thier phones, respond to thier emails and made me feel like I was the only customer they had because of the service I received. I will continue to recommend them more

Had an overall fine move 4/12/2012

I don't think anyone looks forward to moving whether it is on your own or with a mover. I mean literally everything seems to go wrong regardless right? Well I booked with New Planet Moving and they did everything they said they were going to. I had a pickup window of 3 days and although they came on day 3, they did get there within the time frame we agreed on. The delivery time was supposed to about 5-7 days, and they arrived on day 8... But with this being said they did a really good job on protecting my things, I had no damages and they did keep me up to date on everything once they KNEW the delivery schedule. The frustrating thing for most people I think is the fact that they can't tell you what is what until they are a day or two away from delivering. But I've moved a lot and I know this to be true with other moving companies too. They do many different moves on each truck, and therefore they have a lot of different factors to consider. Traffic, delays, other customers taking longer, having more questions, customers with more to load than planned or whatever. I am very happy with the overall service I received from New Planet Moving, the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fact that they couldn't guarantee a pickup date in my area, and therefore I had to be available for 3 different days. I moved from Montana to Northern Virginia. more

Check Rating on Other Sites - Merged with Champion Movers 4/6/2012

This company has merged with Champion Movers, so write reviews for both. They WILL lie, destroy your furniture and steal. We are missing 12 boxes (stolen), they delivered out stuff in 26 days, we were promised 5-7. They charged us $1200 more than promised. PLEASE read review on RIPOFF, BBB and Google! New Planet Moving is the worst company I have had to deal with in a long time. Truck arrived two days late, then took from March 16th to April 5th (20 days) to deliver. They kept telling me that it would be delivered Monday, then Friday, then next week, that the truck was in Chicago, next day it was in Austin, TX, then it was a mistake, the truck had arrived to Las Vegas 10 days ago. I will never know the truth, but it seems that they didn't have enough space in the truck, so they left it in a storage room near St Louis for 15 days. Many things arrived broken. They pack very poorly and dented or scratched every piece of furniture that was delivered. They dissasemble everything so it takes less space in the truck, but then they only assembled a few things and left. They also push you to underestimate your weight so they can charge you more at the end, in my case, almost 35% more than estimated. They disregard the law that says that you are only required to pay up to 10% more than the original estimate. When they pickup, they make you sign many forms. At least one of them is empty and they complete later with information that shows that you agreed to a new weight estimate, which I never did. Their estimate will be less than others, but the total will be the same or not. Would never reccomend this company to anyone. more

Should be called Worst moving company in the Planet and Stge 4/6/2012

New Planet Moving did Awesome 4/3/2012

I moved with New Planet Moving back in 2009, and again this year. I received my stuff last week and just finally got everything unpacked. The only thing is a small scratch on the corner of the back of a dresser that has survived 4 moves so far in it's life LOL When I used New Planet Moving the last time, I had no damages, and the movers were very helpful. So I of course wanted to use them for this move as well. They were able to accommodate my new home (with like 30 stairs) and waived the charge for me because I was a returning customer. I have also referred a few of my friends to New Planet Moving who have also had good moves. And the moving company offers it's customer referral bonus' so be sure to tell your friends, and get free gift cards and stuff like that. I have already gotten 2. more

BEWARE! Scams abounding 3/15/2012

Beware of positive reviews of this company which are obviously not written by real people. I can't stress enough that this is not a reputable company. I called about 5 moving companies prior to my move and New Planet was the cheapest by about $500 due purely to the fact that they estimated my studio apartment at 2500 lbs and were not bound by the 3000 lbs minimum many other moving companies abide by. I was strongly (and repeatedly) cautioned against using this company by American Van Lines (who was my next lowest quote). I asked all the right questions, though, and LESLEY was SO reassuring that I decided I felt safe booking them. Boy was I wrong... First, among other things, I had an upright piano that needed moving. When I called to ensure this would be handled by appropriately professional piano movers, I was assured that this would be the case. The van only showed up with a single mover so they hired an additional person to help. That additional person was...wait for it...a dairy farmer. When I asked him how long he'd been moving pianos he said, ""I'm a dairy farmer. I've never moved a piano before but my friend called me and told me someone needed some help."" Wow. Just great... I was glad I'd paid a third party for extra insurance. Second, only after everything was loaded did I find out that New Planet had in fact outsourced my move to a third party called Oasis Moving & Storage. The paperwork contained materially different terms than the agreement I'd signed with New Planet. When I pointed them out, the driver called his boss and provided me with verbal reassurances that the move would be completed on the original terms. I'm sure you can already imagine that this did not happen. Third, I was promised more than once by New Planet that my shipment would arrive no later than February 7 (and that this would be extremely unlikely since that was already 18 days past pick up date). In fact, it arrived February 12 and only after repeated (almost daily) calls harassing Oasis and New Planet to deliver my shipment. Fourth, complete misrepresentations about price. I can GUARANTEE that my shipment was no more than 2500 lbs so imagine my surprise when they called me to tell me it was closer to 3800 lbs and that I would have to pay 75 cents per extra pound unless I wanted to pay them an extra $300 flat fee (cash of course). Since I obviously had no way to verify the weight, I agreed to the $300 instead of the $975 they otherwise claimed it would cost. Fifth, although the company knew from day one that I was moving to New York City, they called me two days before arrival to say that they cannot deliver to New York. They would need to transfer all my goods to a smaller truck and ""shuttle"" it into the city. You guessed it, I'd just need to pay them an additional $350 (they originally asked for $550). Sixth, upon arrival, a drawer of my antique dresser brought all the way from Australia was missing. I was assured that it was likely back on the original truck and it would be mailed to me. Five weeks later, I still have no drawer. Every time I called to complain, I was given the run around and simply told that I'd have to pay more money. I ultimately lost interest in spending an hour of every day dealing with these companies so I just paid them. Ironically, with my negotiating on the price, the cost came out almost identically to the price of the reputable American Van Lines. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the trouble. Go with someone besides New Planet Moving or Oasis. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 3/15/2012

I helped my daughter move from Lubbock, TX to Arizona in October 2011. I did not want to go with New Planet Moving & Storage due to all the horrible reviews but the sales rep (Lesley) promised my daughter they could get her stuff to her in 2-5 days since it was on the way back to Las Vegas (of course this is not in writing). She also assured us that there were good reasons for all the horrible reviews and they do lots of moves with NO issues at all. Once her stuff was picked up, the story completely changed. There were 5 pick-ups scheduled after her pick up and the driver was going in the oppposite direction. She did not get her belongings until 14 days later. It was a nightmare dealing with this company. We way over estimated on the weight but still the unexpected costs were coming in. They estimated her packing costs to be $425 but the total came in at $819 (and New Planet even used half of our boxes we had from a prior move) and her stuff was packed TERRIBLE. The driver hired some college students off of Craigslist to help with the packing/loading and they had NO moving experience at all. We paid for the packing expense because we wanted EXPERIENCED movers to do the packing for her. Also, the driver brought his wife and small children, which seemed a little unprofessional (who stayed in the semi truck all day). The movers got to her apartment at 1pm (estimated arrival time was by 10am but at least they came the same day). The movers did not get done until after midnight. She lives in a 1 bedroom apartment and does not have that much stuff. We also spent a lot of effort to inventory her stuff so that we would not go over on the final weight. We went through every room and inventoried everything with the sales rep and thought we should be very close on the final cost. In the end, they said the weight was 350 pounds over our VERY over estimated inventory list. The total cost came to $3185.50 (original estimate was $2300 for 3500 pounds). The final cost was even more than the binding estimate we received from United Van Lines that included the extra insurance. The only reason we didn't go with United was the New Planet sales rep (Lesley) promised that we would have her stuff in Arizona within 2-5 days. Additionally, we had several things broken during the move. The biggest item was a large Oak entertainment center that was completely broken in several pieces at arrival. We paid for the extra insurance on this entertainment center but they denied our claim because it was made with some presssed wood (very little pressed wood, was mostly solid Oak). Of course the insurance fine print is they won't cover any furniture made with pressed wood. We even had the original sales receipt that showed we paid $900 for the unit and we got NOTHING from the insurance company. We then filed a claim with New Planet to at least get the .60 per pound standard insurance but have still heard NOTHING on that claim. New Planet Moving & Storage is a JOKE of a company. The sales reps are super nice and tell you what you want to hear. Once they have your stuff the story changes and nothing is as promised by the sales reps. I can only be upset with myself though, I had read the HORRIBLE reviews and still chose New Planet Moving & Storage. At the time of the move, New Planet's BBB rating was a C-, which now I noticed is an F!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Listen to the reviews, do yourself a favor and save yourself some stress and aggravation - choose another moving company! more

My move was allright 3/9/2012

The rate was really a lot less than other companies. The lady who called me didn't bother me non stop so it kinda made me like her. She answered all my questions, and told me things in a way I could understand (being a rookie at moving myself that was important). The guys who came to move me from the house were uniformed and courteous, and the guys who dropped everything off were nice too. I gave them pizza and they were so hard working they finished everything before they would eat one bite! I would recommend them if I knew anyone who is moving in the future. I also got a discount for military so be sure if you are serving your country you let them know too. They support the Troops! more

Totally Satisfied 2/20/2012

These guys and gals did me just fine. The rate was good and stayed the same throughout. Every time I called they answered the phone, and were helpful. The movers who arrived to get my things were uniformed and clean. The main guy was a little short spoken, but super efficient and I felt confident that he would take the best care of my goods as well. When my delivery came, everything was in tact and I called to let them know of my satisfaction. They did ask me to please review them online so I really hope this helps! Thank you New Planet, and I recommend you whole heartetly. more
