What a waste of my time! Although my sister was treated nicely about a year ago, I wasted my entire day here. First of all, they need to either fix their email or check it more often. I emailed them requesting an appointment, waited two weeks and didn't get a response. So I decided to call and make an appointment and they gave me an appointment for a Saturday. I also gave them a list of the dresses I wanted to try on. I live in LA so the drive was very long and frustrating. I even decided to take my mom, aunt, sister, and mother-in-law with me. This was a big mistake too because it was a waste of their time as well. When I got there, they introduced me to a grouchy consultant who should've taken a day off if she was experiencing a bad day, at least that's what I do. I asked if she had all the dresses I wanted to try on and she responded by ""what dresses"". They had lost my list! So I just picked up a few dresses and went ahead to try them on. This consultant was terrible. She wouldn't even suggest a veil or shoes with the dress and didn't even take me out to the big runway area for me to be able to see myself walking down the isle. This was really not a big deal to me. But I do have to give all the credit to my mom and sister who did all the work. When my sister suggested bringing two more dresses to the fitting room, the consultant said she doesn't have any more time for us. WHAT? I drove an hour for this??? By now, we were all frustrated and ready to leave. And we did, we ran out! Til this day, I keep getting phone calls from them every Friday confirming my appointment for Saturday. I keep telling them my appointment has come and passed. Overall, this store needs major help with management and recruiting of staff. I ended up buying my dress from a local bridal shop that is smaller but much friendlier towards brides. You would think that if you're willing to pay top dollars for a dress, the least you expect is good service. Pros: Big selection. Lots of designer dresses. Plenty of parking. Cons: Service. more

Mon Amie was so great! I had been to several bridal salons before and after Mon Amie, and ultimately decided on purchasing my gown there. Their staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it....but, be sure to make an appointment because they get really busy. more

I highly recommend Mon Amie to anyone looking for a wedding gown. I have read the mixed reviews, and like most places, chose to see for myself. I am so glad I did because their selection is like no other! I couldn't believe how many aisles of dresses they had! They had a wide range of prices. I think the lowest priced gown I saw was $1200. If you're looking to spend less than that, ask them about sample sales because my friend was able to get a gown there for $500 at one of their sample sales and she was really happy with it. I had the best experience at Mon Amie. They have the most beautiful gowns. We went to Mon Amie because so many of my friends bought their gowns there. The selection was fantastic and our consultant Belle was very nice. I feel good that I don't have to take my dress somewhere else to get it altered because they do it all at the store. They have beautiful accessories and we found some really nice dresses for my mother too. I can't wait till my dress comes in. They have really nice bridal shoes too... the hard part is just deciding which ones are the prettiest. I think this store is really amazing! more

I flew from San Jose, Ca to Costa Mesa because Mon Amie was highly recommended. As I walked in, not one sales person greeted me. I had to wait 15 minutes for my appointment at 4:00pm (the boutique closes at 5:00pm). After trying on two dresses, the sales woman was pushing me to buy a dress that I really didn't like (which was $1500 over my spending limit). I had asked to try on this one dress which I saw while waiting and she would not allow me to get it until I made it clear that I was extremely unhappy with the service; she clearly wanted to make a quick sale offering as little help as possible. If you are going here, the only way you are going to get what you want and the service that you deserve is to be as pushy and rigid as possible (that is if you get this particular sales woman). As I left (a little after 5:00pm), I did notice that other woman were having a really good experience. They were taking their time and still trying on dresses (perhaps they were more of a Bridezilla than I was). Pros: Huge Selection Cons: Worst Customer Service especially at that price! more

I loved, loved, loved Mon Amie. From the moment I entered the door I knew I would find my gown there! All the best designers have their gowns at this store, it was unbelievable. We had so much fun!! They had so much to choose from and I of course fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I tried many more on but I guess first choices usually are pretty true. Everyone seemed very nice. I brought my mother and sister with me and they found dresses to wear also. I love that they have everything in one place. They had a huge selection of jewelry and veils. It's well worth the drive because they have everything you need in one place. I would highly recommend Mon Amie to all my friends and family. To all women looking for an exciting and happy bridal shopping experience, I warn you NOT to shop Mon Amie. The staff turn over is tremendous. Your contact is there one day, and gone the next. The individual who takes over your account doesn't have any idea what it is your ordered, when, where, etc. Most of the time your telephone calls will not be returned. Your faxes will not be acknowledged. I have one child, a daughter. I wanted her dress to be extra special. At the time she lived in California, where we purchased the dress. The dress was ordered TWO SIZES TOO SMALL. By the time the dress arrived, she had moved to the East Coast. Mon Amie refused to accept any responsibility. Rather she and I were treated with condescension and rudeness. The only concession we received was when the dress manufacturer was contacted by me, who in turn pressured Mon Amie to offer some consideration. The consideration was too little too late. My daughter's experience with the salon was a nightmare. The bridesmaids dresses were mishandled, in that they were ordered anywhere from two to four sizes too big. Alterations cost more than the dresses. Again, Mon Amie refused to accept any responsibility. Pros: can't think of one! Cons: staff is rude, orders mishandled or not placed in time, overpriced. more

Shopping for a gown is a challenging process given you are unlikely to buy a wedding dress more than once. Mon Amie has a large selection if dresses and I was excited to find mine after a long search. I am pleased with my choice (although it was more than I'd hoped to spend). My initial experience was great. My ""Bridal Consultant"" told me she would work with me throughout the entire process. However since my order, the process has been unclear and the employees have been rude. At first I was told we would schedule 2 additional appts to fit the dress and I would hear from my consultant to schedule them within 3-4 months. I never did. Not wanting to be high-maintenance I waited 5 months and called. The woman I spoke to said my consultant was not available and that dresses usually were not picked up for a few more months so I should not worry about it. 6 months after the dress was ordered, I called again and I was told that I should come in for a fitting. When I arrived, the dress was the wrong size (despite taking the advice of the consultant on measurements). The woman I spoke with told me she had no idea what was going on with my dress and the fittings- it that was not her area. After that, I called to schedule the fittings and spoke with an extremely rude woman who seemed indifferent to where I did my alterations (My original consultant advised me to get good results I should go with their internal person and provided me with an estimate of the expenses). Given the lack of organization and follow-through and the indifference to customer service I will certainly not be getting my alterations done at Mon Amie. Mon Amie is bridal superstore designed for quantity not quality interactions ? employees act like as a bride is likely a one-time customer, quality service is not a necessity. I got married last year and purchased my gown, veil, accessories, shoes, undergarments, purse...practically everything at Mon Amie. My mom, flower girl, and briedsmaids' dresses also came from there. It was so easy to buy everything at one place. I thought everyone was very nice and helpful. Of course, anywhere you shop is going to have some sales people that are better than others, but that's to be expected. One time that I was there, I had a sales person that seemed newer and didn't know as much - it was a little frustrating at first, but another girl helped her with some questions that I had and it worked out. They also weren't able to tell me the exact date my dress would be coming in, but I was okay with that. They gave me a range and called me within that time frame and informed me my dress was there. The alterations were a bit on the pricey side, but I didn't want to take any chances with my wedding dress, and it was well worth it. On my wedding day, I didn't have to fidget with my dress all day/night. I have recommended Mon Amie to all my family and friends that are getting married and so far no one has had any complaints. It did not start off well as both my daughter and I were hoping to get an appointment for Saturday which no appointment was available. We were able to get an appointment for Friday early afternoon. The receptionist was nice and the consultant was extremely friendly, personable and VERY HELPFUL. She continued to bring in dresses that not only fit my daughter's style, but also her price range. I was skeptical about this store as there were a few negative reviews regarding 'snobs' and bad customer service. From our first impression of Mon Amie, I would recommend this store. We have not yet purchased a dress but will enter another review when and if the time comes. more

I was impressed when I saw the dresses they had. I was very happy with their salesladies. As soon as I decided to place an order I asked few questions about the size selection and delivery dates. She measured me and helped to select my size, but they refused to write the promised delivery date on my contract. I felt that I shouldn't risk to trust them with the most important purchase of my life!!! more

I have been in many different bridal salons in California. I saw a nice selection of wedding gowns in this salon. I was very excited to try some on, i was almost sure that I would find my dream dress on that day. Unfortunately, after talking to the salesperson for few minutes I changed my mind, her attitude was terrible, she didn't have any information about the dresses she was trying to sell. more

Our experience has been very disappointing. They were nice enough before we purchased a wedding dress with a total price tag (after they add and add and add to the price tag) of over $4,000. I thought that would entitle us to reasonably good customer service, such as a return call, or perhaps even a fabric sample. Wrong. Don't expect an apology when they don't do what they say they will do. Postal employees are more eager to please! more

I visited the salon several times before I finally brought my family in to see my wedding gown. Everytime I came in the staff really bent over backward for me. The best experience was having my family wait at the end of their gallery and giving me the chance to see myself walk down the aisle. My family was tearful and by the time I reached the end I was without a doubt positive that was my dress. When it came time to measure the manager was very helpful and informative. After I purchased my dress one of there staff from finishing touches sent me a card, congratulating me on my purchase and said if I had questions I could refer to her. I made my alteration and accessory appointments with a specific consultant and she was always available to me. It made the experience very personal. My friends and I have read/heard some negative things about Mon Amie, but I had such a great experience there! Both my best friend and I are getting married this year - we are having totally opposite weddings and we have different tastes in wedding gowns. We both found our dream gowns because they have such an amazing selection - so many designers & styles. I found my dress at an Ines di Santo trunk show, and I was even able to meet with the designer...that was awesome! I think the staff was very friendly and they made me feel comfortable. I thought I would be overwhelmed because there are so many choices, but my sales person was really good at working with me to find a dress that I loved and went well with the style of my wedding. I like many of the reviewers enjoyed the intial service. They were supportive and patient. After the sale however this went down hill. There phone service is horrible and they seem to not transmit the ""niceness"" to the end. Becareful. Look at your charges and ensure that they dont measure you for a gown that is too big. I had a great experience at Mon Amie! I made an apointment and had amazing personal service. Leaigh was so helpful and so kind. She did an amazing job of picking out dresses that worked for me. I loved so many, that now my problem is going to be figuring out which one to get. They have high quality dresses that are not cheap, but if you can find a sample for sale, then the price becomes right. more

My maid of honor and I got lost on the way to this place and we were patiently guided in by multiple Mon Amie staff. Once we were there, we were shown to a spacious, private room and asked to talk about what I wanted. The assistant, Sonya, didn't waste any time in getting me 6 dresses that fit my profile. I chose a dress and veil and was given discount after discount, bringing me to my budget. I can't believe I almost listened to the bad reviews on this page, sounds like a bad case of Bridezilla to me. Get over yourselves and focus more on the positive. If you like David's Bridal - you 'll like this store. The staff are young and do not know what they are doing. They drop price just to get you to commit and then the service falls way below acceptable. I should have taken more time and shopped in LA County. I hear that the stores there are much better and it is worth the drive. It certainly is not worth driving down to Orange County. Cons: Warehouse-like, Inexperienced, Hectic more
