I went to this store because I thought it looked really nice and big from the outside and I thought they would have good service and a large selection of gowns, however once I went inside I was dissapointed. Even with an appointment the consultants were difficult and wouldn't listen to what kind of style and details I liked. I know all bridal shops only allow five or so gowns per visit, but not when they wont even help you find what you want. They used up all of my dresses on gowns I didn't even like! I left unhappy.My sister has made several other appointmnets for me that im looking forward to visit but for sure ill never go back to this store and wont recommend it to any of you. more

I went there last week, with AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all i had to wait 20 minutes to be greated and helped.The consultant that was helping me told me i better be specific about the styles i want to try on beacuse there are limited number of dresses that i would be helped with.Guess what , that was the first store i had gone to, I had no idea what would look nice on me.To make the story short I walked out with out trying on any thing. This was a huge day for me but they manged to taint it with a sour note, I will never ever go back to that store or let any of my friends to do so. Very snobby, with no knowledge!!!!\r Stay away from this store.I had a feeling that they are not happy to have me as a customer and that im not good enough for their store?\r The store is beautiful and huge, but they have to do something abouth their staff and managers, bad.bad.bad.\r Any way i ended up somewere else and im happy i didn't waste my money on their store. more

let me start my review about saying something upfront - they're rude. My mom flew all the way from Korea just to be with me in this very special event in my life. My mom can hardly speak english but she tried to tell the consultant that was helping me if i can try on just one more dress from Anne Barge since she is only here for a while.. the consultant laughed at her discretely with the other consultants and said we could come back to make another appointment - they were the WORST! They just lost $5600 worth of sales. i ended up buying my dress in a couture store in pasadena - i stayed in their store for almost 3 hours and they never complained as if they want to kick me out. pls dont go to this store PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY. more

To dear Mon Amie: I promised my self that the minute i get home after your ridiculous service I would totally burn some time informing people of how sloppy i was treated in this store. I came to this store so excited with my family and i brought some pictures so i could show to whoever is going to help me. My consultant was so naive pushing me to dresses that are so expensive and is not a style I'm looking for. I even told her my budget was $2500 and she keeps on pushing me to buy $5,000.00. My family knew i was upset and just told the consultant that if there is any other that are similar to the style i was looking for.. and she totally played dumb that there is nothing else she could show me. I felt so insulted and their selection are so limited. Please if you at least want to enjoy the experience of dress shopping. dont even waste your time going here and do yourself a BIG BIG FAVOR. more

I loved my experience at Mon Amie. They helped me find my beautiful gown by really listening to what I wanted and also realizing that my mother wanted a different type of gown for me. My consultant Belle was able to make us both happy. Everything worked out well and I really loved Jenny who did the alterations on my gown. She tailored it perfectly for me. I would highly recommend this store! more

I would not recommend Mon Amie! The lady at the front (store manager) was not very nice, in fact she was VERY RUDE! I felt like I was not welcome and that they did not want to help me. Seems like they were in it for the sale only - forgetting the most important part where they provide you with customer service. The sales associates remind me of wolf-hungry car salesmen. They were all rude, and $$ signs were all written on their foreheads. They did not even size me correctly and when I corrected them they gave me unnecessary attitude for THEIR mistake!! The dresses are over priced, and if I got good (or even acceptable service) I would not mind the price tag. I should not have gone here, I had A HORRIBLE experience and don't really look forward to seeing them when my dress comes in. After the dress was paid for they could care less about talking with me or helping me like they had when I first walked in the door. Great Salon as far as choices, HORRIBLE customer service!!! more

I went and had an appointment, showed up I wasnt even acknowledge, stood there for 5 mins & I asked someone for help. The gal said, just a moment, I waited 10 MORE minutes. Then I said to another person, I was waiting and she said to hold on. Granted I was under dressed, but I had $6,000 to spend on a dress. I waited 25 minutes and then left. YOUR LOSS! more

If you still want to buy your dress here after reading this review I have two suggestions: 1. When they ask you your wedding date give them a fake date MONTHS ahead of the real one to allow for mistakes. This dates sets the delivery of your dress. 2. Do not leave without a swatch sample of your dress! \r It has taken me 6 months to be able to write this. I was looking for a specific designer dress. It was crazy-extravagant, but, hey. "Oh yes, we have it!" I drive 1.5 hrs through LA traffic to try it on. "Oh, we must have just sold it." That should have been my first red flag. Eventually I found another one I loved. When it FINALLY came in MONTHS late it was the wrong color. Off white. They tried and tried to convince me it was all MY fault- the lighting, silk-white vs. bone white, etc. Hey, a white wedding dress is a white wedding dress, right? The next time I came for a fitting I brought the swatch (they made me beg and pay for- but...) showed them and guess what? It was white. more

This place has lots of gowns, however, they are really overpriced, that includes their outlet with old, dirty, filthy dresses. Imagine their outlet with dresses from the 1999 to about 2002, old styles, missing buttons, dirty, worn out, however their prices ranging from $800 to $2,200. Totally not worth it.\r \r The consultant that I met, Nikki, was truly LAZY, she let me tried on all the dresses myself and she just sat outside waiting. Some of the dresses I tried on had cathedral trains, which were long, heavy, and pretty tough to manage putting on all by myself, however, she did not even asked if I needed help. The funny thing is that whenever she saw another staff walking by, she would quickly stood up and pretended she was helping me with the dresses. \r \r She was pushy and rushing all the way through, which really threw me off. After I tried on a few dresses in one section, I was looking into another section, and she literally told me that "you have about 20 minutes left, so take yo more

I wanted to thank you again for the beautiful gown I received during the last Military Bride giveaway. I was one of lucky military brides that participated in the amazing military bride event that Mon Amie holds every year. The very first one that I tried on was the one...the one that I would have pictures of for the rest of my life. Even in all the chaos it was a great experience and a wonderful thing that Mon Amie did. Our wedding was wonderful due to the kindness of so many people. Thank you for your generosity. I loved Mon Amie from the minute I walked through the doors. So many beautiful gowns and my consultant found me the perfect one. I had to get it quickly because my wedding was in a few months and everything was great!\r They all came through for me and I couldn't be more pleased. I tell all my friends to go there. I really loved my experience at Mon Amie. I thought that everyone was really very nice and helpful. The selection they have is amazing and everything went smoothly without any problems. They do get very busy on Saturdays... I went in on a weekday to find all my other things I needed and they spent hours with me to find just the perfect accessories. My mother found a beautiful gown to wear for our wedding at the store. We really like the store and we recommend it to all our friends. Pros: amazing selection and great service more

10 days before my wedding and still don?t have my dress?PLEASE READ. \r \r Let me start by saying that it saddens and disappoints me to write this review because the Mon Amie experience put such a great deal of stress on me during this special time. My biggest regret was that I didn?t pay attention to these things in the beginning. I write this with the most fairness, and no exaggeration. \r \r \r The quality of service at Mon Amie is not upscale as they insist to be. It will be evident as you walk through the doors- dirty purple carpet, bad lighting in the fitting rooms, water in paper cups, and women wearing pantyhose in opened toed shoes (no offence, but a big thing when you are relying on people to give you fashion and dress advice.) BE CAREFUL AND YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I had heard the stories about Mon Amie and so I was cautious, but their selection can't be beat and if you work with the right people, you'll be happy. Tawny, a manager, and Selavi, a consultant were the two I worked with when buying the dress and I recommend both. Selavi (pronounced like Cest'la vie) was not pushy or demanding at all. I have continued to work with Tawny through picking up my dress and alterations. She has been great with me, honest and caring. i'm sure they get used to the Newport Beach crowd with unlimited budgets and maybe it's hard to get excited over a sale under $5000, but they are real people. the sample sales are great, alterations are pricey but are supposed to be with the most highly skilled in the industry (I can comment on this soon). Tawny helped me get a great veil at an amazing price during a trunk show, also. I was careful with the contract and making sure that it stated every SINGLE thing. When I picked up my dress in December I would sign off only for taking the dress, not that I was happy with the condition it was in (it still hadn't been cleaned per the contract) so that they couldn't say later on that I had gotten it dirty at home. They may try to get away with something shady, so be careful! Get everything in writing, and you will be fine. I think the accessories are overpriced, but the sample sales and trunk shows are great! - Ask for Selavi if you make an appt.! I found the most incredibly gorgeous gown at Mon Amie and I would highly recommend them. They really went out of their way to make everything nice and memorable.My wedding party all purchased their gowns at Mon Amie and we had really amazing wedding. I felt like a princess for a day! more

I was so excited when I walked into Mon Amie and saw all the gorgeous gowns they have. The hardest part was just making the final decision on which one to buy!! Our consultant was very nice and helpful and of course I chose the dress of my dreams. They did a marvelous job altering my gown perfectly for me and I highly recommend them. My mother and my bridesmaids also found their gowns at Mon Amie. Our wedding was really wonderful and I didn't have to worry about my dress at all. I was so excited to get the discount on my wedding gown and bridesmaids. I was inexperienced enough not to realize that the 20 year old that helped me would reflect the service overall. I've been to a lot of bridal salons throughout the years (with sisters, friends, and now for me), and I can honestly say that Mon Amie is the best. There were a couple salons that were downright bad - but for the most part, other salons were decent, just nowhere near the caliber of Mon Amie. Mon Amie has the best selection and a great staff! more
