Mon Amie has a large selection of elegant and sophisticated dresses. The staff are friendly and do their best to accommodate your budget. They do nickle and dime their way and will try to upsell you. The veils and jewelry are overpriced, and alterations and dry cleaning (charged seperately) are expensive. However, their dress selection is lovely. more

I got my dress at Mon Amie bridal outlet and couldn't have been happier! They opened the outlet to brides for dresses off the rack at huge savings! My dress was perfect, and I felt like a princess. They did a perfect job on my alterations, were ontime with everything, and listened to me with all the changes I wanted done on the dress. more

I purchased a Pronovias dress from Mon Amie off the rack. They cleaned it and repaired it to restore it to ""new"" quality before I started my fittings. What I liked is that I asked my salesperson not to bring me any dresses that were out of my price range so that I wouldn't be tempted to spend more than I could afford and she didn't. I absolutely loved my dress and it fit beautifully. They have a great selection and dresses in all price ranges. more

Planning a wedding in my hometown of Houston while living in Los Angeles was no easy task. Thankfully, finding my perfect gown was not so difficult. After reading rave reviews on CitySearch, I decided to check out Mon Amie. The store happened to be having a trunk show for designer Ines di Santo, and luckily the designer's daughter was there to help guide my selections. When we found THE dress, I wanted to share the experience with my parents in Texas so the store owner kindly snapped and emailed photos to them. We bought the dress that day and it was smooth sailing from there. Thanks for all of your help! more

I got married to the love of my life just about 2 months ago. It was the very best day of my life. Even though those few little things fell threw the cracks, like they always do, my husband and I got through it together. We got married at the Long Beach Museum of Art, overlooking the ocean, on a clear day, at sunset. We could not have asked for a better day. Andrew asked me to marry him in London just over a year ago, and that year went by fast! So many people to meet with, shops to look in, appointments to hold, food to taste, and addresses to get. But the first and easiest thing I did was find my dress. My mom, sister and I walked into your store, was greeted right away by a friendly associate, and I began to try on dresses. It did not take too long to figure out what shape I liked best on me, and the fact that the designer of the dresses I liked best was in the store that day to help, was a god send. He knew exactly what dresses to put on me, and even what color would work best in pictures! And he was right. I choose a Stephan Yearick gown in platinum and I could not have been happier with how it turned out. The seamstress did an amazing job making it fit perfectly to my body. The dress was easy to move around in, easy to sit in, and it looked so great next to my bridesmaids, who were wearing cranberry. I received so many compliments on it. I have been searching for my dream dress for months now with no luck. This past weekend I attended the trunk show at Mon Amie featuring amazing designer Amy Michelson and I FINALLY found my dress!! I got to meet the designer herself and she was wonderful!!! They listened to exactly what I wanted and I felt on top of the world when I found my dress. The designer even made me my own hand drawn original sketch! It was overall such an experience. My friends and mother felt welcomed too. I was able to find the accessories and shoes that matched beautifully with my dress! My consultant was amazing and I would recommend this experience to anyone. They have such a selection and the people are so nice. I love the fact that I could meet the actual designer of my dress too. Thank you so very much to Mon Amie and Amy Michelson! more

Don't use their alterations service!! Nice customer service but I do not recommend getting alterations at this salon. Very last minute and too many dresses flow through this shop for them to pay attention to details. They did not finish my bustle which was only discovered at my reception! more

I went to Mon Amie because their selection is incredible and they carry plus sized dresses to try on which I could not find at any of the 6 other stores I went to. My first experience was actually very nice. Heidi, my sales person, was very sweet and helpful, not pushy at all. I feel in love with a dress and searched high and low to find it somewhere else. I could not find it without leaving the state so I decided to try my luck with Mon Amie, even after hearing less than stellar reviews. This was a huge mistake. From the moment I purchased the dress, my family and I were treated with little to no respect or courtesy. I was told my dress would be in sometime in late December or early January. I called the second week of January when I hadn't heard yet and was told my dress was in and that someone had called me. I never received that call but let it slide. Rave reviews for Mon Amie. Yes, they have a zillion dresses. Yes, they are the #1 place to go. I have to say, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was way above anything I would have expected. Went just to look and got sucked in by family pressure and bought a dress. On the ride home, had buyer's remorse and called begging them not to put the order through. They made room for me the next day (a very busy Saturday) to come back. And I found THE dress. Just went to pick it up today. The designer had misinterpreted the special instructions on the order (I could see how it may have gone either way). I was freaking out, but the manager, Kelly Goodridge, and the alterations guru, Esmy, saved the day. Not only are they making the corrections at no charge, but they are doing it in just 3 days. Catastrophe averted. Not only was everyone very nice, professional and calming - more important than you think - but the only thing that mattered to Kelly was that I received the dress exactly the way I envisioned it. They say that the wedding business is a racket, but the kind ladies at Mon Amie proved them wrong and really showed me 5 star service and I couldn't be more thankful! I loved Mon Amie! Theyre selection is awesome and theyre staff were always friendly to my family and I. They had no problem that I wanted to try on 100 dresses, I never felt rushed or pressured to purchase, I scheduled 2 appointments before buying my dress and no one complained that I was taking my time. Because theyre so busy, you have to schedule an appointment and if you're budget is under $1000, its not likely you'll find a gown there. I worked with Bell, who was amazing. She was very honest in her opinion of how I looked in the dresses, and learned my taste quickly, helping me filter through all the dresses and accessories. They even didnt mind that I wanted to try on other dresses [months after I'd already purchased my gown]. Pros: great selection, very friendly and helpful Cons: expensive gowns, but you get what you pay for! theyre comparable to other couture shops more

I loved my experience at Mon Amie. Everyone was so nice, very welcoming, and warm. Belle helped me select the perfect dress, and was very patient with me. She was also wonderful at listening to what I liked, and finding the perfect dresses and accessories to fit with my criteria. She went above and beyond, and was able to help me craft a really beautiful look I might not have found on my own. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Mon Amie, and with Belle. (I hated the process before coming here!) Mon Amie elevated the exhausting process of searching for a wedding gown into an amazing and special experience for me. Its really sad to see so many bad reviews. My salesperson was awesome. She stayed within my budget and was very knowledgeable. She was just awesome and she even convinced the manager to knock off more than $200 from the price tag. Let me give those of you contemplating this store a recommendation go with Natalie. Not once did I feel rushed or talked down to. Considering this is a high end store and my budget was $1000 I'm sure it would have been easy for her to be rude to me but my overall experience was what invisioned in my head. She was wonderful, give this store a chance. more

My daughter and I were amazed at the sheer number of beautiful gowns at Mon Amie. My friends had told me how great this store is but it was even better than I imagined. Our sales lady really understood what we were looking for. They were so nice because we kept finding more gowns to try on and then at the end my daughter chose the very first gown she tried on. It was so much fun. I also found a dress for myself that I love. We're bringing back the bridal party soon to look at bridesmaids. We highly recommend this store to anyone who wants a really beautiful couture gown. Pros: very nice service and exceptional selection Cons: hard to find more

Everything was great until i bought my dress. I had my fitting and the seamstress told me to lose weight!!! I am a size 4!!! She just didn't want to do the job! I should have taken my dress and left. To make a long story short - The staff made mistakes and never owned up to them. They lost my veil! When they found it, it wasn't the right style. They kept telling me it was right, like I couldn't tell!! Horrible service, and you pay top price. Be forewarned - Do not go here!!! The good reviews are probably written by the staff. I would advise you to go here to try on dresses and decide what you want - it has a great selection. However, once you purchase your dress things go downhill FAST! I am a forgiving person, but this place made SO many mistakes and never once took responsibility for them. They really destroyed what should have been some special experiences, and greatly contributed to my stress leading up to the wedding. Went to Mon Amie in April to look at dresses. Happened to be a trunk show and the sales person, Selavi, said you get 10% off and get custom measured by the designer, Sarah Houston, to have a custom fit gown. I liked one of her gowns and since I'm a small person, I knew having a custom fit gown was the way to go. So, the designer took a ton of measurements (should to should, should to apax, apax to apax, etc.). Went in to try on the dress and was EXTREMELY disappointed!! The bodice of the dress looked 2-3 sizes too big!! It looked like Sarah didn't take into account any of the measurements. So, we contacted Sarah and Mon Amie. Mon Amie called my mom and was extremely rude on the phone and said that we signed the contract and have to pay for alterations. Sarah said that there's no such thing as a custom gown without doing a muslin pattern and several fittings! MON AMIE TOTALLY MISREPRESENTED THIS TO US BY SAYING IT WOULD BE A CUSTOM FIT!! So, we took the dress to an independent tailor and she was shocked the dress came out this way taking that many measurements. She would have to undo the beading, take the bodice completely apart and redo the beading. This is ridiculous! This wasn't the first time. I should've known better. For my cousins wedding we got our bridesmaid dresses there. They measured me and told me I was a size 8. I'm a size 0 normally. I disputed this and they ordered me a 6. Of course it was still too big. None of the dresses fit anyone. Mon Amie orders them big on purpose so that they get money doing alterations. On top of that, they try to sell you stuff while they are altering your dress. This place is a scam. They have nice sales people to make you think you're getting good service and then they completely screw up your order. I do not recommend going here!! Even our tailor says they fix a ton of their orders! UPDATE: my dad talked to a different person and they are fixing the dress for free BUT we shouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. more
