i honsetly cant believe its listed in city search's top ten list. I was surprisingly extremely dissapointed!!! They were 10 mins late, my facial was supposed to last for 75 mins.....

Delegance Houston was great! 8/20/2010

I recieved a gift certificate from a friend. (the friend did not know I had a bad experience at this salon the year before) I reluctantly went in to use the gift package she had purchased for me. I have to admite I was scared but did not want her money to go to waste.\r \r The place has changed so much, they have new service providers that where brought in from the new director. She has really improved the whole experience. more

What a great day I had at the spa! The new director there has made such great improvements! The whole experience from when I walked in the door till I left was fabulous! I recieved a really good deep tissue massage from Madiline, then got a very relaxing microdermabrasion facial from Peggy. I was offered wine, white or red ( complimentry!) I chose red and drank my wine while recieving my pedicure and getting acrylic full set. Jazmine is so sweet and does really good nails. I was checked out by the director herself, she even gave me a little gift bag with free samples in it.\r \r I will be back to the Houston location and will tell all my friends about it. more

Found my stylist I meet at Bushwackers purely by coincidence. I went to Bushwackers only to find it had closed and happened into D'Elegance and Christina happened to be working there. It was so good to see Natilie and Daniel there as well. Christina recommended I see Peggy the facialist for a Brazilian and she was right great job! Pros: close to old location more

TERRIBLE MANAGEMNET! 5/6/2010

I would suggest that anyone considering this spa for the first time go spend their money elsewhere. \r \r I purchased a gift certificate for a friend mid april which was to be mailed to her....its now may and she still had not recieved the card. When the salon was contacted they informed her they couldnt find the card in the system but they see her name?? ok odd enoug she had to call back several times w no solution. \r \r I was so irritated that I called spoke with a very rude manager who hung up on me twice intentionally and i kept calling back and gave him a piece of my mind letting him know that he's very unprofessional and rude that i was still talking when he simply hung up the phone. after emailing him the confirmation email one of his employees called me back to let me know they have located the card and my friend is now (a month later) able to come redeem it. \r \r When I asked to speak to a manager the same rude man I spoke with earlier gets on the phone.. I said you're the manager? Didn't I just speak with you? Yea .. He was mummbling and stuttering when i asked what the problem was ""well maam it was not confirmed at the store only online"" which would only make sense since it was purchased online... I told him that i was not at all satisfied with the experience so far and that his rude behavior and lack of customer service skills were only making the situation worse...that I will never ever use their services again or recommend anyone else to this unorganized....rude and scaming place he said ""ok have a nice day"" and hung up!!\r \r I am not sure how the actually service at the spa is but i would never recomment this place to anyone ....its a waste of your time and money and instead of it being a fun and relaxing experience they intentionally make it as stressful as possible.... That poor excuse of a man...manager needs to look into a profession that involves no contact w people whatso ever especially direct contact with clients.. I am still in shock at the way I was treated by a business that claims to be #1 not sure how they have any customers or employees for that matter! Hope this helps! Cons: TERRIBLE more

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! 2/26/2010

I thought this place would be a decent place to go to - close to home and gives the appearance of looking nice. But that's the only good thing there.\r \r I tried striking up a conversation with the stylist and she didn't care to talk to me. She'd rather talk to the receptionist! Uh hello! I'm a new client! You need to keep my interested in this place.\r \r For the rest of the time, I watched her cut my hair. I asked for a layered cut with 2"" off the bottom. She did fine on the bottom layer, then cut the next layer too short, and tried to recover it by cutting less than an inch off the rest of the layers! When she checked the lengths of the layers, I easily saw how much longer the top layer was compared to the bottom. I didn't even want her to attempt to style my hair afterwards and I don't know why I even left her a tip.\r \r ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! NEVER AGAIN!!! I had a great experience here!I walked in off the street for a manicure and was greeted by a very polite blonde man who opened the door for me and introduced me to the receptionist (beautiful green eyed french women)who instantly set up my manicure and wisked me over to the manicurist!She was a very demure young asian women who was well spoken and quickly got to work on my nails!After 45 minutes of labor, my nails were filled ,buffed and polished to perfection! I will be back and next time I will be having a haircut after seeing some of the work created on other clients!I thought the staff was nice,friendly,and they all made me feel very comfortable! The interior was a bit kitchy but this is Houston not Milan,Paris,or New York! I really enjoyed the staff and if you ask me that is were the true beauty of this salon resides. Dadagirl is right!I have been a client of both of these two for about 6 years and I will not let anyone else touch my hair! I had to get past the decor of the spa but would be willing to go anywhere these two would work because I look so good when I leave.Considering the fact that Bushwackers closed suddenly in less than a days notice due to poor new management, I am just so glad to be able to have access to both of them and I am amazed they were able to find a ""decent ""location so close to the former salon so quickly.Don't be fooled into thinking that these two are anything but truly talented professionals!Good Luck you guys! there is nothing elegant about this place. I booked a few services online with my credit card. The first problem was the receptionist. She had no sense of professional verbal etiquette whatsover. Also, she called me THREE times in one hour saying she needed my credit card information to secure the reservation I had made. I told her they already had it online, but she said it doesn't matter since the computer only lets her see the last four digits. Okay? And then she tried to charge me $50 for a shampoo-and-style, which is ridiculous considering I have shoulder length hair. She finally relented to lower the price to $30, which is whats advertised on their website anyway. I asked my hairstylist to give me slight waves. After maybe 15 minutes of blow drying my hair outwards, she informed me that my hair is too straight to do that style and that she was finished. I was speechless. I pretty much paid $30 for a BLOW DRY. If that wasn't bad enough, halfway into their lame version of a ""spa"" pedicure, the technician working on me was told by the manager that she was needed elsewhere. So off she goes, and a coworker sits down to finish the job. She did apologize for the confusion and was nice enough .... but this place is clearly disorganized, and the owner could care less about the satisfaction of his patrons. When I told him that I was displeased with his business's idea of customer service, his response? Don't tip then. And go somewhere else. I wish I had. I really do. I did leave 20% gratuity (my standard is usually 25-40) for each person who worked on me, because its not their fault the place is terrible. my wife got me an early fathers day present for a day of relaxation. It consisted of a massage a pedicure and a mens hair cut. I loved my massage deeply, and the pedicure i was very pleased with. the hair cut which was cut by an older sweet woman by the name of fay, she cut my hair exactly how i wanted it. Now i know why my wife always goes to this salon, they took care of me as if i was rolyalty!! Delegance will be seeing both my wife and I very soon!! Thank You all!! Avoid This Place!!! 5/29/2009

Airbrush tan did not show up at all! Very unprofessional, threw down a towl and told me to take off my clothes and they would be back! did not get a robe, locker, or shoes to make me feel comfortable! took about 5 minutes to tan me, did not ever show up on my skin, even after 3 coats. and i am very fair skinned! when called and asked to speak to the manager, he argued with me and refused to give me a refund! only offered me another tanning, which of course i declined! very very very rude!!!!!! chaotic and unorganized atmosphere! avoid this place!!!!! Worst Management EVER 5/20/2009

My boyfriend bought me a gift certificate for my birthday for a maggage and it expired within 6 months! I moved of apartment the month before it expired and I lost my certificate. When I found it, it was already expired since a month. So I called them to ask for an extention… The manager had no commercial sense and was NOT POLITE at all!! He argued with me, telling me that it was the policy of the salon and that he couldn't let me take my massage because the date was expired. And worst than everything, as I was still talking with him, he stopped the phone call!!!!\r \r My boyfriend paid them 75$ and they didn't provide us any services… For me, they're stilling money from people!\r \r I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone!\r \r more

disappointed - part 2 1/11/2009

. I explained the problem and she approached Gina telling her she had to stop drying the lady?s hair and do my pedicure since I made my appointment the day before she did. Finally, the owner took over drying the other customer?s hair and Gina followed me back to the pedicure area to finish my pedicure and manicure. Upon checking out, I asked if there would be any compensation for the gross neglect of customer service and the owner laughingly said ?you?re already getting 25% off? because of the coupon. And then she gave me several business cards (see enclosed) to hand out to my friends. \r \r I?m not sure I?ll ever return to your spa much less refer it to others like I used to. My sister said she?ll never return?even the quality of her pedicure, she says, was not good. \r \r When spending my hard earned money expecting to get pampered. Getting left to soak for over 30 minutes is not worth the over $40 charged for a spa pedicure. I hope you treat other customers better.\r more

I had a wonderful time at D'Elegance day spa during the Holidays, it was my first time there and the atmosphere made me feel as though I had been going for quite some time. I am looking forward to going on a regular basis. Very warm people, very clean environment I highly recommend it! more

Christmas gift 12/20/2008

So everyone knows christmas is coming up and its always hard to get the best gifts for your loved ones. I was so confused on what to get my daughter for christmas. Shes 24 and were not as close as we use to be & im not sure what she wold really like since she has moved and got a family of her own. I was surfing the net and decided to go to the delegance web page that my friend had recomended me to go to. I was surprised on all the packages and choices that they offered and especially a money amount that i can purchase for the gift certificate instead of picking an actualy one. I noticed they had two salons one in houston and one in katy. I decided to go to this day spa and check it out my self to see if it was the real deal or not. & i was so amazed of how the place was decorated and it was so original. I asked the Manager Sher who had introduced himself to me to show me around and to explain the gift certificates. He showed me all the massage rooms that werent occupied from single to couples. I right away fell in love with the lunch area, It was very private & i indeed would def. enjoy that. There was a row for pedicures and manicures which wasnt croweded at all, and the stylist chairs where they did the hair. After viewing the salon and debating if i wanted to buy a gift certificate from here or not i bought my daughter a money amount gift certificate, which expires in 6 months. I thought that was so perfect just the fact that she could pick her own services out and she didnt have to use it all at once. Best Relaxtion 12/18/2008

So I have had a rough week, my birthday was coming up in like a week and needless to say i was desperate to get away. When the day of my birthday came up my husband surprised me with a gift certificate to D'elegance. I was surprised because the on the certificate it said ""whole new you"" and i was to spend 7.5 hours at the day spa. I was so excited to begin my adventure. I went to the day spa and had a very nice time.. they offered me a glass of wine and i got dressed into a robe. I felt very relaxed and this was exactly what i needed. The gourmet lunch that i had received was really tasty. The massage i received by this young getleman named C.J. was a one hour aroma massage and it was very nice. I also received highlights from Nory and a make-up artist Shayna did my make-up at the end of the day and it was so perfect because my husband wanted to take me out that night and i surely didnt have enough time to do my own make-up plus i def. didnt have the skills\r \r Pros: FACIALS, MASSAGES, MAKE-UP Cons: NOTHING UNLESS YOUR A HATTER more

Worst Spa in the World 12/9/2008

The owner of this spa, Sher, is probably the rudest man I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I made an appointment for an hour long pregnancy massage and it only lasted 30 minutes, he tried to make me pay for a whole hour's worth. I wouldn't. He got mad really mad, telling me that people tried to jip him out of money all the time (no wonder with service like this.) I gave him my card telling him I only authorized him to charge my card for a thirty minute massage. He charged me for an hour. Shoved the card and the receipt in my face calling me a bxtch, and telling me to ""take my business elsewhere."" So, I crumbled the unsigned credit card receipt and started to walk off. He told me he was going to report me to the police station for stolen property (the unsigned credit card receipt.) I just walked out. I was genuinely worried so I called the police station and they said not to worry about it. A couple minutes after I got off the phone I started receiving calls from Sher, he left tons of angry, threatening voice mails on my phone. Some time passed and it turns out he actually charged my card. I went to my bank to dispute it, and when they tried to call him for information regarding the issue, he kept hanging up on them and telling them they were ""wasting his time."" After seeing how rude he was, my bank gave me my money back, thank goodness. I wouldn't suggest this spa to even the worst most undeserving person in the world, because even THEY don't deserve to be treated the way SHER treated me. Best Couples Massage!! 7/30/2008

My boyfriend and I came to get a couple's massage this past saturday. I scheduled the appointment moreso for my boyfriend as he needed some ""work"" done on his back due to muscles spasms. By the end of the session I was left wanting more. I looked over to see how my boyfriend was and he was sound asleep. Not only that, but when I asked him how it was he said that that was the best massage that he ever had and now he says he will book with no other spa...LOL Keep up the great work!!!
