RUDE! 7/21/2008

The owner was very rude. The spa was unimpressive, and their services were mediocre. Dont waste your time and money. As another reviewer stated this place is the wal-mart of spas! more

D'Elegance Salon & Day Spa - KATY LOCATION 7/2/2008

They have a customer 4 life!!! 7/2/2008

When I called to make an appointment the recepionist was very easy to talk to and answered every question I had. Later in the day he called to confirm the appointment and asked if I had any further questions. Upon arriving I was greeted with a smile and offered a drink while I waited. Shortly after the therapist greeted me and went over my areas of interest. When taken back to the room I was struck by the relaxing setting. I was there to receive a sports message which includes alot of stretching. Roz was very attentative and professional and was constantly applying pressure. At the end of the session she reviewed some of the target areas that she felt could use some treatment in the future. When leaving I was thanked for my business....My experience was better then expected and the service from start to finish was very professional and the experience was top notch. Pros: Location, Staff, Ambience more

THE PLACE SMELLED AND LOOKED DEPRESSING 6/21/2008

I WALKED IN TO CHECK THE PLACE OUT BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY MOTHER?S BIRTHDAY.\r A MAN CAME OUT FROM SOME WHERE IN BACK TO THE RECEPTIONIST DESK LOOKED LIKE HE HAD BEEN ASLEEP AND HAD NOT CHANGED HIS CLOTHING FOR A FEW DAYS. \r THE PICTURES ON THE WEB-SITE MUST BE OLD, \r THE PLACE SMELLED AND LOOKED DEPRESSING. \r NO ONE WAS WORKING. \r NEEDLESS TO SAY I DID NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY MOTHER?S BIRTHDAY. Cons: THE PLACE SMELLED AND LOOKED DEPRESSING more

Not a pleasant Mother's Day 5/13/2008

Where to begin . . . the wait. Then the massage from the lady obviously eating onions for lunch while I was waiting who talked during the whole massage. Noise from the outside was easily heard. Not relaxing at all. Then the facial from the the lady I could not understand who was not the same lady as the license on the wall. We were interrupted both during the massage and the facial by other employees that were either looking for somebody or needed to use the sink. How unprofessional! Everybody tried to sell me something. From the masseuse who said I needed maintenance treatments to the facial lady who said I needed to use special product that only the spa sold at $15 per ounce to the hair stylist who said my regular lady did a horrible job on my hair and gave me his card. This is a Wal-Mart of spas at best. This was my Mother's Day gift after 10 weeks as first time mom. $300 of services and it was wasted time and wasted money. Pros: They had openings on Mother's Day Cons: I now know why. more

Stressful Experience! 5/5/2008

I have been one other place before to get a massage and it was to die for! So, I decided to go to the Westheimer location to hopefully get the same experience......FAR FROM IT!!!! When we were waiting in the I saw the manager walking out with a cigarette in his mouth to go smoke and was dressed way to casual for a #1 day spa! My husband and I went in for a couples massage at 2:00 and we finally got into the room at 2:40. The room is tiny and close to the front foyer area. It was very noisy during the massage and my massuese left for about 2 minutes during my massage! My husband got a more experienced massuese, but there was a small rolling stool in the room that she kept rolling around. The staff is very nice but not professional in any way. I would not reccomend spending you money there! more

First Time For Everything, Love It 4/29/2008

Today is Tuesday April 29 year 2008. I just actually came back from the salon today from getting a womans hair cut and highlights. I wasnt sure of what look i wanted so i looked through some magazines and pictures and showed my hairstylist what i sort of wanted. She started coloring my hair first.. i told her i wanted a copper look... and thats what she gave me. i figured it would look really good wit some blonde highlights... bleach bleach blonde. Which is exactly what i told her i wanted... i wanted a chunky look. So she started the highlight process... she got done wit washing my hair and cutting it around an hour or two later. i was shocked how my hair had turned out... & im enjoying every bit of it right now... so is my fiance. I enjoyed the enviorment and the cooperation and patience these people had on me especially since i put most of my trust into the hairstylist. You will def. see me coming back for me.. thanks again!! \r Sincerely, Jessica Rodriguez\r \r try going for a copper look like me with some chunky blonde highlights. Pros: location, enviorment, staff members Cons: figuring out what i want more

The Worst 12/28/2007

I bought 2gift cards for massages as Christmas gifts for my mother & grandmother. I called to make an appointment for 3:00pm tomorrow for my grandmother. I called at 6:30 (the website states they close at 7pm) the gentleman that answered asked me the person?s name, once I gave him the name he asked if I was paying with a gift card. I said that I was. He stated he could not make the appointment without the gift card number. It seemed a bit odd that he asked method of payment before I received the service; do you ask for the credit card number as well, had that been the method of payment. I asked if he could just put the name down for the appointment, and I would call back with the gift card number, he said no he needed the number before making the appointment. I called within 15 minutes it was about 6:45- 6:46. I asked if I could make an appointment for 3:00pm tomorrow if it was still available; he said it is, but (he chuckles) we are closed. I asked him what time he closed and he said 6:00. His tone and chuckles upset me and I asked if I could return the gift card. He said why, I explained my dissatisfaction with the difficulty in making an appointment. He told me they would be open again tomorrow at 10:00am. Well, I called today at 10:04 and tried to make the same appointment I tried to make yesterday. The same gentleman that I spoke to yesterday said it was taken. I asked him when it was taken and he stated yesterday. I asked when yesterday and why didn?t he tell me that from the beginning when I originally called, he said he doesn?t remember anyone who calls, or when they call. The funny thing is he surely remembered me, and this time he didn?t ask me if I was paying with a gift card or the gift card number that he so needed yesterday before jotting down a simple appointment. How is it that the appointment was available yesterday when I called, but then taken yesterday when they were closed? He then stated there were no available appointments until January 5th! more

Birthday Girl 8/25/2007

Today was my first time ever going to a spa. It was my birthday and I can't begin to explain how wonderful and relaxing my experience was here. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I began my day with meeting the receptionist that was very inviting and helpful. He made me feel relaxed from the time I walked in. The second person I meet was Ms. Glenda my massage the therapist. She was very sweet and the hour that I spent with her was like heaven. As my day continued I was invited to have a manicure and a pedicure and the stylist that did my nails was wonderful and very sweet. Again I really loved the whole day....Thank you again. I plan to come back... It was one of the best birthday gifts... Thanks to my loving husband... Pros: The staff was wonderful and so helpful.. more

D'Elegance Salon in Katy is not worth going to 5/18/2007

I received a Christmas gift certificate for a massage and a manicure, had to use the certificate within 6 months which really sucked. The massage was good. The girl that gave the massage hated working there because management treats them bad. I did notice that place was not hopping with a lot of customers or employees. \r The manicure was the worst. The manicurist pulled her utensils out of a jar, they wern't in any type of a dissenfecting solution nor had they been heat sterilized. The salon had very little polish to pick from, and what they did have was very old. \r I went to the salon in Katy, which I will never spend my own money there. Pros: parking right in front. Cons: make you fill out a form like you are going to be seen by everyone in there. more

Great Customer Service 3/1/2007

I recently received a gift card for a massage at D'Elegance Salon and Day Spa and was very excited about it. They met and exceeded all of my expectations. I get massages quite often, but this was my first visit here. I was met with a courteous, customer-service oriented staff, and I had a wonderful experience. The massage was fantastic, but more so, the atmosphere and employees were so embracing, I certainly will be a repeat customer. I would recommend them to anyone and look forward to going back again. more

A Life Expierence 2/12/2007

I have lived In houston all my life, been all over the city. I have never really expierenced what i expierenced at D'elegance Salon & Day Spa at any other Salon.. or should i say Day Spa. I made an appointment at the Katy,TX location off of Westgreen and I-10 with Angle on Feb. 7. I had the worst headache that day, my wife was upset with me and on top of everything my back was killing me, so I was looking forward to my massage. It was my first time walking into the Katy location and i was very impressed. The Salon had a very calm enviorment, the music playing was one of my favorite radio stations ""Sunny 99.1"", so i already had a good feeling about this place. The massage that Angle had performed on me was the Hot Rock Therapy Massage. She got every spot that needed to be worked on and at the end i didnt want to get up from the bed. It was worth it all and i appreciate everything I hope to come by again and get another massage by the lovely massage therapist Angle. TAKE CARE D'ELEGANCE!!! Pros: Location, prices, employees, services Cons: not enought time in my day to come by more

Great Services, Atmosphere, and Staff! 1/22/2007

For years I have been a regular in the Houston spa scene; but since my husband and I tried D'elegance, we became regulars. This spa is first class in ambiance and service. The massage and facials are out of this world; and the staff is committed to making customers feel welcomed and just great. P.S. - It is unfortunate that people take time to write malicious comments about this wonderful spa. It appears to me that it?s either someone who is angry at the world, or just an envious competitor. Too bad! Pros: Great staff and owners, Great prices, 2 locations Cons: wish they would open another in the Woodlands!! more

Don't Make This Mistake! 1/16/2007

I don't know how this salon made it on the top ten. I went to the Katy location. My experience was disappointing. The management is abrupt. The atmosphere is cold, unfriendly, and snooty. When I asked for help on what to do with my hair color, the owner offered none, repeatedly saying""whatever you want"" while she was busy applying someone else's hair color.I was looking for advice from ""experts"" which is what you should get when you spend $75 for single all over color. The only thing I specified was I didn't want brassiness.Nevertheless, we settled on a color. When it was rinsed out, my roots were much ligher than the rest of my hair, and they were an orangey,BRASSY,copper color.I pointed it out and the stylist said,""oh, it just looks that way because of the lighting"".They recommended a conditioning treatment bragging that it was done with a $250 bottle of conditioner, trying to make me feel I was getting a bargain paying $55 for a few teaspoons.Ya right! the owner said not to rinse it-that my hair was so unhealthy, the oils needed to soak in.So,I left with a wet, oily head and orange roots.I thought maybe once my hair was dry the color would blend.Um, no.My roots are still much lighter which easily could have been avoided had the colorist known even a little about what she was doing. She left the color on my virgin roots for way 2 long, and everyone knows virgin hair absorbs more color.Oh ya,initially I went in for hi-lights,but they talked me out of it despite insisting,""whatever you want"".They said my hair had too many colors already and that I would first need a single all over color. After the all over color, they said your hair is 2 unhealthy 4 highlights so u need the conditioning treatment.Honestly I think they were ready 2 leave for the day & figured the treatment was nearly the same price as hilights but would take less time.So they made out good. Not me, $140 later, I have a hair color I hate & a nagging feeling that I got screwed big time.Don't make the same mistake! more

Management? 12/21/2006

I had a very bad expereince at the Katy location - which is under the same management. You might want to check their reviews before frequenting this chain. more

Wonderful massage and body wrap, and loved the nails too!!!! 11/30/2006

I have to say she got me hooked, Thank you Erika for your wonderful services. And a special thanks to D'elegance for having such an awsome staff!!!! Pros: great staff, love the many services, Cons: can't afford to be there everyday..lol more

Hair styling AWSOME 11/30/2006

I am new to Houston and was looking for a nice Salon. Since this place had good reviews and is close by, I thought I'd give it a try. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the owner. (nice atmosphere) She really knows her stuff! They asked me to call in an hour and they would try to work me in for a hair cut. I complained about how the local Fantasic Sams had really messed up my cut. She talked with me about my expectations and I told her to give me someone good!! I called back and sure enough, they said come on in. (this was Wed about 2pm) I had a sweet younger stylist and she took time to look at pictures with me and I felt like we were on the same page with what I wanted. They offerd me wine, soda or water (nice) Sure enough, she did a FANTASTIC job. (her name is Melissa) I had no problem styling it the next morning and it looks wonderful. The owner even came by when the cut was finished to inspect the sylist work and offer suggestions as we started styling. So as far as the salon, I am very pleased and will continue to go back. I am looking forward to trying thier other services. I payed $55 for my cut and style. I had my hair ruined by FS ($15 cut) so you get what you pay for! I will be going in next week for highlights. Thanks D'elegance! more

WOW!! 11/29/2006

Delegance salon i have to say is one of the only salons that has ever blown my mind. The prices are just right.. not too expensive and not cheap. The first thing that slipped my mind when i walked in was ""wait a minute, am i in paradise"". Its nicely decorated with a relaxing romantic touch, a place i would def. not bring my kids at. I can get away from all the stress and have my hair highlighted the right way and have the most exotic messages ever. The message i had was the hot rock stone message.. and might i just add i never had in my life. Its a very unique message but so soothing and relaxing. When i asked to look at the other packages so i can get my husband a gift certificate i was overly satisfied.. i couldnt choose what to give him. This salon is truely unique in its own way and im def. going to be back. My husband will be coming soon i gurantee that i appreciate everything yall did for me and how much yall made me feel like i was ""special"" God Bless.\r \r Sincerly\r Michelle Guiterez Pros: Messages, staff, professional more

One of the best Day Spa's in Houston 10/9/2006

I decided to give them a try last week. i booked an all day package for Saturday. This is one of the best Day Spa's I have been to in Houston and for the prices they charge one of the more inexpensive Spa's in Houston. I had a massage from Shon, who is awesome, a Facial, Mani and Pedi. All the services were great and I will go back soon. Pros: The price!! more

horrible waste of money 8/30/2006

I have tried several spa's and finally decided to try out this spa. It was HORRIBLE if you want a facial. The lady who performed my facial left several blotchy marks on my skin, and would randomly leave the room during my facial for several periods of time. The rooms are tiny and cramped, the towels that were supposed to be hot and open pores were cold. Please avoid this at all costs, i feel so regretful to have paid 70 dollars for a horrible experience. Pros: nice location Cons: not like a real spa, too pricy for nothing more
