Nice, friendly, and honest service. I did not feel pressured one bit and the selection was nice. Prices were fairly reasonable and the vehicles I test drove drove pretty nicely. I...

They advertised a car on sale, when I came there the car was "sold" so they showed me another car. They wanted to add a fee on to my debit card to get extra money! I told them NO,...

Buying more then one from here! 11/3/2010

I was looking for two days for a car that I wanted and was unable to find it until I went to Austin's. I was able to find a car that I wanted and not that someone pushed me into. The salesman was very kind and helpfull. He made the car that I bought in perfect condition before pulling off the lot. I will take my daughter to buy her first car at Austin's Affordable Auto's. 2011 more

These guys bought a car from me and treated me right. If I were to buy a car or even sell another one this would be my first choice, as has always been!!!!!! Keep up the great service guys!!! more

Three recent experiences at Austins read for yourself 11/1/2010

Judge for yourself This place has limited parking for customers also when browsing cars the space is very limited. Barely open a car door without hitting next. Their building is a small one room shack so very little privacy to discuss your purchase and personal information. The cars themselves are poorly maintained they had to jump start the car just for the test drive. The people appear friendly at first but after your purchase they either avoid you completly or are borderline rude. When our car had problems we returned to question them about the cars history they made it clear that they weren't going to help us in anyway. Basically they told us the car was bought ""as is"" and that was that. Overall I would not recommend this place for anyone. Even if the car is used it should not break down literly a day after purchase. This would not upset us as much if the people made any attempt to help rectify the situation. When I first came to the lot I made it clear that i needed help because my car was stolen the day before and i needed something to get me to and from work. The salesman that barely spoke English tried getting me into this Ford Explorer that they had to jump start to get running and then it kept dying and would not idle the way it should. I then told them that I did not want an Explorer because i've owned one before and had nothing but bad experiences with it. I even checked the oil and it looked milky which tells me that it had a blown head gasket. They still tried selling it to me and would not let up. Finally I test drove this 4-runner, it drove off the lot just fine and i liked it for the price. I was driving home from work 2 days later and threw a rod through the block, the engine started smoking and i had to pay to tow it home. I now have a repo on my credit to say the least. I would not reccomend these guys to anyone. They are the definition of a high pressure lemon lot. Pros: They got me in a car the same day Cons: It was a lemon and they did nothing to work with me after that Austin's Affordable Rip-off Artist kings Autos!!! anonymousff 1 Austin's Affordable Autos They promise me that I would not be driving home with a non working car?. and that is exactly what had happen. At first it drove really well on the test drive (but we couldn?t get far because it was just about out of gas and they did not want to fill it up before the test drive) but it drove good and looked go so we bought it. But after we bought it, it just so happens that it broke down not even a block away from the lot! They came and helped us out and fixed the problem (thanks for that) but then it broke down again before getting home. When I called them the next day they just kept telling me that there was nothing we can do about it and to call back tomorrow! The fat lady at the desk is no help and is very rude and to call me ignorant and selfish!!! I tried to explain that I?m not trying to be selfish but I just bought this car yesterday and I can?t even drive it! And all she had to say is to call back tomorrow!!! I took it to the shop and the supercharger went out on it and that it would be $1,500-$2,000 to fix (I paid $2,700 for the car itself). Also its leaking antifreeze from the radiator and that would be $300-$500 to fix. When I called back the 2nd day and told them what happen, he told me there was nothing they can do about it, and I bought it as is. The guy who sold the car just kept saying, ?It?s good, it?s good. It drives good, good car, good car?!!! I swear that is all the he knew how to say! Let me save you guys!!! Do not buy a car from them unless you go on a good 15 minute test drive! Buy a care form the bigger lots (and the bigger used lots). They don?t try to rip you off and they really want to get read of those cars and will defiantly choose a lower rate and a better quality car for you. DO NOT GO (DO NOT TRUST) AUSTIN?S AFFORDABLE AUTOS!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: ? Nice when you first walk up more

Example of the con's they pull there - dont go there ever 11/1/2010

During the negotiation of the purchase of a vehicle, the agreed upon price was $1000. The windshield was marked $995. I offered $500 down and in-house financing. They agreed to the offer. They requested the down payment, so I gave them my debit card. They debited $515.00. The extra $15 was for their 3% fees. I have no problem with that. They then brought the papers to me. I saw they had my address incorrect, and they had changed the agreed upon price to $2000. I did not agree with this. They then offered several counter offers, every time wanting me to pay more than $1000 for the car, and added extra fees. I then requested my $515.00 to be refunded. They said the guy who knows how to do that was helping another customer. So I waited for 45 minutes. I then asked them to refund it immediately. They refused and said I would need to wait 3 days for a check. I instructed them the simple steps to refund my money. They again refused. I got upset and insisted firmly they refund my money. They then told me, ""You are 86ed from this property. You are now trespassing. Leave now. We have called the police."" They did not call the police. I did. They told the officer they did not know how to refund the money, and promised the money would be refunded Monday, July 19, 2010. We got the officer's name, and left the area. more

We love Austins Auto's!!!!! 10/29/2010

We are buying a little blue honda, the sales staff were great, they went above and beyond our expectations!!! While we were searching for the good gas mileage, get to work and back, all around town family car, they were very patient, and respectable in helping us to make our final selection. Robert was really wanting to help us find a great reliable, hardworking little car that would give us many years to treasure!! So I feel that Austins Auto's is a wonderfull company, who deserves the respect and loyalty in return that they provided for our little family. Thankyou so much Austin's Auto's we look forward to returning and upgrading to another car with you in the near future!! \r \r #2050 more

Heck yes! 10/23/2010

I got my car from there and everything is running great so far! No reason not to trust them, just make your payments on time and maybe a little extra here and there and you'll be in tip top shape! \r Thanks!\r #1055 more

hey idiots,,,, you got what you deserve 10/17/2010

you got bad credit? you got no money down? get a clue,,, you are a dirtbag. you got crap credit cause you dont pay your bills. you got no money down, and these guys sold you a car anyway, now your mad it aint new, and you dont get treated well. HEY STUPID !!!! your lucky someone sold you a car.. stop your whining and be greatful your not riding the bus at 200 a month. And you ""ex-employee"" your supposed to be the friend of the poor taken advantage of buyer? hell you were in on the scam till they fired you. now your our friend....? I did not buy a car there, and wouldnt. I got good credit and pay my bills. So , I dont buy from little used car lots with high interest loans and cheap ass shitty cars. All you people that dont pay your bills, and got no money, need a car, they sell you one, when even your own family wouldnt loan you money, then your mad that your stellar credit rating left you at the mercy of someone that would take a chance on you, but would only do it on thier terms.... listen stupid. you burnt everyone that ever lent you money.... now your mad cause you paid late again, and they held you accountable... grow up , get a life, get a job. and get a clue.. your here because your a dirt bag more

100% Satisfied 10/16/2010

I purchased a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from these guys in June of this year. The car was exactly what I liked/wanted and the price was fair as well. The financing is a little steep but granted I came to them with crappy credit and a small down payment looking to buy one of their cars. If I were them and I was selling to ""high risk"" individuals I would charge a higher interest rate too. That's just smart business. They were friendly and knowledgeable. The test drive was not limited rather my boyfriend and I both took long test drives. We completed the paperwork with ease and I had the keys to my car. I have had no problems with my vehicle. It runs strong, as a matter of fact, just yesterday a mechanic was telling me how much he enjoyed test driving my car after I put some new tires on it. He believes that as long as I continue too take good care of the car it should last me quite a while. I couldn't have been happier to hear that since I have an 8 month old son and require safe, reliable transportation. I was late on one or two payments and I did have to pay the late fees but I never had my car repossessed. You run the risk of repo from ANY dealership if you don't make the agreed upon payment. Again, standard business practice. So bottom line, I am 100% satisfied and I recommend Austin's to anyone with bad credit that needs a car. more

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 10/9/2010

So I came here at the beginning of August, just a few months ago.. and was greeted by Ray. I am a 25 year old single female that does everything on my own. But I have to say I was intimidated at the thought of trying to buy and pick out my own car. HE MADE IT SOO EASY! He showed me everything in my price range, which was to finance 3 grand and leave that day with a new car. He let me test drive anything I wanted and I fell in love with my Jeep. So, all went well with paperwork and signing. Also, the Jeep ran great and they were sure it was good to go. Well about a month went by and I noticed that the breaks needed to be done. I stupidly parked it until I could afford ""maintenance work "" not knowing that I could have at least talked to the guys at Austins to see if they would know anything or any ways around an auto repair shop taking me for all my money for a quick fix. One day I called them up and they told me to bring it in for a check out and that they could see about replacing my break pads with the ones I had bought. I dropped it off and came back after work to find out they had REPLACED SOO MUCH MORE than the break pads. They invested $310 and had replaced both front end Calipers and Rotors and a ball-joint that was spewing fluid. THEY HELPED ME SO MUCH! My car runs better than it ever had and you can tell that had they known that prior to the sale it would have been takin care of. And because it wasn't seen prior they had no problem helping me keep it road safe even after my as-is purchase. My over all opinion of Austins is they are not only friendly, they care about about what car you get in and how it runs for you. They arent out to get my money.. and let my car go to the crapper. They do sell high quality used cars. And wont let you down. Go there and just give them a chance. I dare ya! Then you can tell the truth. And so can all the friends you refer. :) more

Over and above 10/6/2010

I went car shopping at Austins about 2 weeks ago. I went there because they were convenient to my home and the prices are fair and comparable with other used-car dealers in the area, so why not start looking here. I was pretty impressed with the sales rep... He LISTENED to me and actually HEARD what I was looking for in a car. He was really nice, NOT PUSHY at all and was more than WILLING TO HELP by look up any info for me that I asked for, including VIN disclosure statements and auto ratings for any of the cars I'd picked out. While examining the car, my sales rep actually helped with POINTING OUT FAULTS with the car. (Dings, dirt, dents) as we negotiated the deal. When we talked about the tires being bad, he offered to replace all four at no extra charge. The test drive had a little shimmy due to the bad tires, but the alignment was perfect, and it ran like a dream, so we agreed on the sale and I was to deliver a deposit check the next day. Financing through the bank took a few days longer than expected, so I called the sales guy. On my word to buy, he prepped the car and paperwork. The papers were signed and keys were in my hand. Done Deal. Right? Nope...here's where he went over and above... I had a 600 mile trip in that car. When I got back, a week later, I went to Austins because the heater would not shut off. I fully expected to pay for any repairs on my AS-IS purchase, but the Manager or Owner said they wanted to make it right and were unaware of the heater problem when setting the price, so he would take care of it. I am very very happy with the car and the way these people do business. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice used vehicle that they go check out the wonderfully helpful, low pressure sales people for themselves. more

Good Job 10/4/2010

I was in here one day and witnessed a total fit by an unhappy customer. She screamed and yelled and cursed-all while holding her toddler on her hip. I was embarrassed for her and everyone in the showroom. I bought my car as planned anyway. Darrel was kind and considerate and honest and that means a lot to me. The truck runs fine and I'm sure it will continue to do so. If anything happens, I'm positive Darrell will make sur it gets fixed more

Great Dealership 10/4/2010

I've been hearing and reading some crazy stuff about this car lot. Thank god my experience wasn't like some of the others. It wasn't like I was buying a Mercedez or anything, but it wasn't like I was buying a Radio Flyer from the toy store either. The staff was courteous and realistic about what the deal was and the cars and prices were also realistic. I don't know what the big deal is anyways. I needed a car-and they had one to sell me. Problem solved. I'll be back. Thanks for the car. more

honest car dealer 10/4/2010

Buying a car sucks most of the time, but these guys were really down to earth and didn't hold back with me in regards to the quality of the cars I was looking at. The options and price were more than affordable and I will definitely be back here for my next car when it's time. Thanks for treating me like a person guys. more

good place to go 10/4/2010

I bought a car here KNOWING why I had to choose a used car lot: I messed up my credit and had no other option to get a car. I KNEW the interest rate would be a bit higher and that the cars may have problems. They treated me pretty good here. I know if there's a problem they will help me fix it because-if we treat each other decently-why wouldn't they? These reviews I'm seeing are absolutely ridiculous. If I don't make my payments they will take the resulting actions-one plus one ALWAYS equals two. I don't see any problems as long as I make my payments-other than that it's up to me as an adult to take care of the rest. more

Thanks austin's 10/4/2010

I've heard a lot of things about the owner. I don't know about all those other people, but he was completely cool to me. He's no suit and tie for sure, but I don't have any complaints about him or his lot. He sold me a truck and offered me financing when I couldn't get it anywhere else. No problems with him, his lot or the truck I bought. It runs good and that's exactly what I needed-an A-to-B vehicle more
