So I came here at the beginning of August, just a few months ago.. and was greeted by Ray. I am a 25 year old single female that does everything on my own. But I have to say I was intimidated at the thought of trying to buy and pick out my own car. HE MADE IT SOO EASY! He showed me everything in my price range, which was to finance 3 grand and leave that day with a new car.
He let me test drive anything I wanted and I fell in love with my Jeep.
So, all went well with paperwork and signing.
Also, the Jeep ran great and they were sure it was good to go.
Well about a month went by and I noticed that the breaks needed to be done. I stupidly parked it until I could afford ""maintenance work "" not knowing that I could have at least talked to the guys at Austins to see if they would know anything or any ways around an auto repair shop taking me for all my money for a quick fix.
One day I called them up and they told me to bring it in for a check out and that they could see about replacing my break pads with the ones I had bought.
I dropped it off and came back after work to find out they had REPLACED SOO MUCH MORE than the break pads. They invested $310 and had replaced both front end Calipers and Rotors and a ball-joint that was spewing fluid. THEY HELPED ME SO MUCH! My car runs better than it ever had and you can tell that had they known that prior to the sale it would have been takin care of. And because it wasn't seen prior they had no problem helping me keep it road safe even after my as-is purchase.
My over all opinion of Austins is they are not only friendly, they care about about what car you get in and how it runs for you. They arent out to get my money.. and let my car go to the crapper. They do sell high quality used cars. And wont let you down.
Go there and just give them a chance. I dare ya! Then you can tell the truth. And so can all the friends you refer. :)
