Review content:
I went car shopping at Austins about 2 weeks ago. I went there because they were convenient to my home and the prices are fair and comparable with other used-car dealers in the area, so why not start looking here. I was pretty impressed with the sales rep... He LISTENED to me and actually HEARD what I was looking for in a car. He was really nice, NOT PUSHY at all and was more than WILLING TO HELP by look up any info for me that I asked for, including VIN disclosure statements and auto ratings for any of the cars I'd picked out. While examining the car, my sales rep actually helped with POINTING OUT FAULTS with the car. (Dings, dirt, dents) as we negotiated the deal. When we talked about the tires being bad, he offered to replace all four at no extra charge. The test drive had a little shimmy due to the bad tires, but the alignment was perfect, and it ran like a dream, so we agreed on the sale and I was to deliver a deposit check the next day. Financing through the bank took a few days longer than expected, so I called the sales guy. On my word to buy, he prepped the car and paperwork. The papers were signed and keys were in my hand. Done Deal. Right? Nope...here's where he went over and above... I had a 600 mile trip in that car. When I got back, a week later, I went to Austins because the heater would not shut off. I fully expected to pay for any repairs on my AS-IS purchase, but the Manager or Owner said they wanted to make it right and were unaware of the heater problem when setting the price, so he would take care of it. I am very very happy with the car and the way these people do business. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice used vehicle that they go check out the wonderfully helpful, low pressure sales people for themselves.
