We went to Austins Affordable Autos looking for an affordable used car. We found them on the web and printed some cars we wanted to look at. When we arrived - they said there was a misprint and the priced quoted was not correct. They proceeded to show us a variety of cars - all of which were junk. One car they said was great - but didn't stop - but with breaks would be wonderful. Once car had the steering column striped (obviously had been hotwired). There was no apparent effort made on the part of the company to even make the cars presentable for sale - not even washing them or fixing even the basic things. About half the cars had broken or missing side mirrors. When we commented on the ""quality"" of the cars - we were told you can't get much for under $3000. We went to another lot in Portland where we found a huge selection - the cars were at least washed, detailed and basic repairs made for under $3k. Last night we found an add from this dealer as well that confirm our opinion: cheap: it had a young woman with a bikini top and short shorts (maybe 17 years old) posing with a car. When I say posing - that is putting it kindly. I wasn't sure what they were advertising. more

OMG! I bought a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid! This is the best car I have ever driven, owned, or even thought I could afford. It had one owner and barely any miles. This was the best deal I've ever had! I have been driving it for months now and have never been happier in my entire life! No mechanical issues what-so-ever! What a car, clean from top to bottom. The mechanic even gave me a run down on how to maintain great gas-mileage. So, in addition to that amazing experience.... I brought my in-laws back to look at the new cars last week, and I have never received such great service. We had a blast looking at all the new cars. And man were there some good ones. They couldn't decide between a BMW, SAAB, Honda, Toyota, or a Lexus. My in-laws aren't rich and they don't have the best credit these days but amazingly we got financed and can afford our car payments no problem. These reviews about them screwing over people are a total crock! They made it possible for me to get to work, take my little girl to daycare, and get my in-laws reliable transportation they desperately needed. My father-in-law was home bound because we couldn't afford a car, now he is getting the medical treatment he has needed for years! THIS DEALERSHIP LITERALLY SAVED OUR FAMILY IN A DESPERATE TIME OF NEED, SO DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE LIES PEOPLE ARE POSTING BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO PAY THEIR CAR PAYMENTS.... LIKE ANY DEALERSHIP YOUR CAR GETS REPOSED IF YOU DON'T PAY DUAHHHH! LOL more

This review is based on my personal experience with them and feedback I have received from local Law Enforcement during my dealings with them. The dealer keeps flagging my post and I will keep posting them within the hour of being removed. I am also in the processes of building a custom website dedicated to educating people the facts about this dealership that they cannot flag or comment on. This dealership preys on people who are of High-Risk of defaulting on their loan or repossession. In the industry this is known as an Under the Hood dealership. This dealership provides in-house financing which is also known as Buy-Here, Pay-Here schemes under the pretense that they are there to help the credit challenged. In most cases the buyer will trade their vehicle in and/or put an average down-payment of approximately $1500-$2000. In turn the dealership will offer in-house financing at a high interest rate. This legal form of financing is known in the industry as Dealer ReserveA? where they can set their own interest rate as high as 30%-40%. If you are late on just one payment the dealer will seek repossession on the vehicle immediately. This is according to the management of AustinA?s who told us this personally. This allows them sue you for the remainder of the loan and also resell the car. In most cases the buyer has put some additional money into the car either cosmetically or mechanically. If your car is put up for repossession you have to pay $500 Administration Fee. $250 Repossession fee even if your car was not repossessed. $20.00 per day late fee plus the past due amount. This is written in the contract. Most people cannot afford these fees and in turn are forced to forfeit the vehicle. We are keeping a file of everything (Including these reviews) and recording every interaction we have with this dealer until our business is settled with them. We have filed a formal Police report on the Repo man and also filed a report with the Washington Department of Financial Institutions and spoke to our Senator about changing the legislation that currently allows the unethical practices of this dealership. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone for any reason. These possitive reviews are written like a salesman trying to up the image of their company. Buyer-Be-Ware. more

Affordable in the name of this dealership, is absolutley \r \r true!!!!!!!!!! its completely affordable for me, i just moved \r \r out of my house recently for the first time and needed \r \r transportation to school and work and it is such a low \r \r monthly payment that i can still go out and have fun with \r \r my friends, eat, and go shopping whenever. more

Although this dealership has gotten a bad wrap. they still have great service. I came in for my monthly payment yesterday and the owner Matt had asked me about my car and how it was doing. i said it has a few little minor problems and that im looking to fix them. He then proceeded to let me know that he was going to have his machanic come in the office and ask me about it he is now going to have it fixed for me with free labor, i just have to pay for the parts. im very happy that i bought my car from them. It has saved me a lot of time and hard work tryin to find someone that will fix it. more
