Review content:
I have been seeing Dr. Salinger for my basic health needs for a couple years now. He really takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns at every visit. He is also willing to have me phone in for regular blood work I need, rather than my coming in for a visit to get it and paying the copay. There have been a couple times I have needed to be seen at the last minute and the office has been very accommodating. When he has the time, he has also done procedures that same visit, instead of making me come back for them. He just seems very patient-oriented. My only negative about him is that both he and his assistant/nurse gave me some incorrect information when I had mastitis. They told me I may have to stop breastfeeding and also to discontinue nursing on the affected side until it was cleared up. This is not the best way to handle it and could have led to my milk drying up, had I listened to their advice. Luckily, I am well-informed and knew that with mastitis you should nurse on the affected side as much as possible.
