I called Sunday because my pipes had backed up. & there was water in the basement. We considered having the service done Sunday, but due to an additional $149.00 fee for after hours. Fair enough. They scheduled someone to come out first thing Monday morning-between 8 & 10, so my husband made arrangements with his work to be there. He finally left the house for work around noon and someone finally showed up near 2:00 pm. The person communicated with my step daughter who wasn't able to reach her father via phone, so she called me. The technician told me my pipes were backed up and I asked him to auger from the clean out in the front yard. His response was "I could try it, but if my auger breaks, you're paying to replace it". Straight RUDE. I have had technicians auger my pipes several times. The last time we used you and our experience was great. This was a completely opposite experience. The technician told me auguring wasn't an option and he would need to water jet the pipes. He then called back and indicated there was a separation in the pipe at the city hook up and we neede to replace the pipes quickly or be facing a huge disaster bill. He quoted $6500.00 for replacement and told me he'd bring cameras and meet me in the morning at my house where he would show me the damage and apply for financing. So I scheduled time off - for me that's an entire day as I work more than an hour out 1 way. He arrived at my house with forms in hand, no camera, no equipment, no offer to show me the problem. He was terse and rude and then modified what he had quoted me the day before from $6500 to $12,000.00, saying he had only estimated the cost from the clean out to the city, &!if we were going to have that done we needed to do the clean out to the house and he hadn't included that in the estimate he gave me over the phone. Luckily, our credit application was declined, at which point the technician hastened out of the house with no further suggestions or a wish for luck. My teenage kids who were home and interacted with the technician indicated they were uncomfortable with him because he was rude and pushy with them. Overall, an unpleasant experience (backed up pipes) became a really bad experience that we do not intend to repeat. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback.
