I created an account to write this review. Please read.\r \r My fiance and I went to Americus Diamond in San Antonio, TX to ring shop for our engagement. My top dollar was $6,000, and I realized very quickly that they did not have many GIA cert diamonds, and instead, sold EGL certs at GIA prices. \r \r My fiance picked out a great looking solitaire round cut diamond ring, but when we began looking through their systems for a diamond, nothing was in our price range. Determined to stick to my price range, I let them know that I would go ahead and buy the ring, and would begin looking for a diamond elsewhere as well as checking back with them to see what they had in stock. After about 5 months of diamond hunting, I found a beautiful GIA 1ct H color SI2 Diamond that was perfect for our price range.\r \r I brought the diamond to a local jeweler in my hometown (I live 3 hours away from San Antonio), and had them set the diamond.
