This place is always packed (ok, after NOON) because it is smack dab in the middle of Sunset in between a lot of high end boutiques (plenty of stars to see if you keep your eyes peeled). The food is good, but not really good enough to warrant how busy this place gets. It's all about where you are, and this place picked a good place to be.
It does have good pastry, although it's namesake is not one of them-so dont' ask.

This is a relatively small hotel, but it is rich in it's appointments with it's dark wood and light bamboo. It's mixture of classic an contemporary make for a relaxed vibe. The linens are fresh, crisp and oh so comfortable.
They had me at Marilyn used to live here...

So if that gives you any idea of what we're talking about , you know that it is not nice. It's PERFECTION. Club Bar or The Belvedere are where a great many deals are brokered. The spa will gently scrub your cares away and then you can lounge in a private cabana by the pool. If you want to have Breakfast at Tiffany's, one of the hotel's Rolls Royce's will take you.

This glorious place is exactly what you think about when Beverly Hills opulence comes to mind. In fact, it actaully reminds me of London (in a good way) form the outside.
It only has 47 rooms, and that is a GOOD thing. There is not one concierge here. EVERYONE that works here can do anything that you need.
The rooms are homey, yet stylish and very unhotel-like. If you want to shop, you don't even rally need to get into a car. You can walk to some of the best shopping Los Angeles has to offer. You can't really ask for more than this.

They even have themed rooms on the infamous Fourth Floor, such as the "Rat Pack ",(it has black-and-whites of Frank and the boys) and the "Jane Suite" for the starlets of yesteryear.
The pool at night is indeed a sight to behold adn they have courtesy drop-off shuttle service to area restaurants and businesses within 2 mile radius. There is also a complete Fitness Center so you don't miss one day of cardio.

No attitudes and having to be perfect to stay here. The owner is onsite and takes care of you personally. This is definitely a home-like atmosphere, but just a touch nicer.
You can even arrange for a small dinner or concktail party if you are so inclined.

On a Friday or Saturday night, you can see abunch of wannabe Lindsays and Paris hopefuls walking to this place. You can see why, since it IS a gorgeous hotel. But the REAL reason they flock here is because it houses SkyBar, an LA nightclub staple (if you are not staying here, don't bother if you're not in"the business"-you won't get in).
So you might as well book a room or suite here and enjoy what they are, since they are not just rooms. They are like little apartments for the time you are here. It's one of the most beautiful hotels in Los Angeles and every inch is bathed in light. The furniture is like a dream and will inspire you to change things wehn you get home.
It's a glorious experience....
