I took a gown in to have it hemmed 2 inches. The owner marked it. The next day he called and they cut it off 12 INCHES. They tried to talk me into taking it anyway. It is ruined and the hem they did put in it was horrific!!! I tried to explain that the gown was purchased for me by my son in Chicago and shipped to me for his wedding here on March 7th. I asked for my money back, that is ALL. They could keep the gown they ruined and resell it, I would not ask for the cost of shipping the dress, or would I ask for any extra money like gas money to travel to their establishment 3 times. I gave them the print out of the dress and the price. They wanted to try to find a ""dress like it"" and replace it. I know it would not be a gown worth 380.00 if they replaced it. Also the hemming would be inferior as well. I told them that it was not acceptable I just wanted my money back. I SHOOK THE OWNERS HAND AND HE AGREED THAT IF I CAME BACK TOMMORROW HE WOULD GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. A man called the next day pretending to be the manger and said they will not refund my money without a receipt because he looked on the internet and the dress had since been reduced and they would not pay full price. A handshake and a promise means NOTHING to the owner. I called back to speak to the ""manager"" and found out it is the owner's son and he was not there and I have not recieved a call as of this writing. NOW NO MONEY, NO GOWN FOR MY SON""S WEDDING, AND NO RESPECT FOR CHRIN'S.
