I went to the Counrty Cat with a small group for our ""office christmas party"" and was very impressed. The atmosphere is great- kind of retro and hip- and very laid-back. Our waitress (I can't remember her name) was very nice. She really took care of us, offering advice on what to order, which plates were good for sharing, etc. She checked on us often and we never had to wait for refills or anything like that. The food was great!! comfort food at its best. The fried chicken is a must, the onion rings were divine!! I was worried when I read reviews saying that it was very loud, but although it was loud, I didn't really notice and had no problem carrying on a conversation (and the place was full most of the time we were there, so I can't imagine it gets much louder than that). The prices were much better than I was expecting, especially since the food was so good and in pretty large portions. We spent around $90 for the three of us (before tip) for starters, dinner, dessert, and drinks. (we didn't have cocktails- so that would have driven the price up a bit). Not bad for I night out.
