Depression Modern sells beautifully restored 1930s and some 1940s furniture at excellent prices. A number of celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg, have waited dutifully on line on Saturday mornings for the noon opening with a new lot of furniture. Bring coffee, a bagel, and your checkbook (or cash), and hang out from at least 11am in front of the store. The owner, Michael, provdies excellent service and delivers the furniture free of charge later that week. This is a terrific store with one-of-a-kind vintage furniture. A must see.
