My boyfriend and I went to Roth's for a New Year's eve dinner. The night did not start out well as the place was pretty empty and they still sat us directly in front of the door/host stand. When we asked to be moved, the hostess said there was nothing she could do and we were just about the leave, when the incredible manager did everything he could to work out that we were comfortable and got us a great table right by the unbelievably talented pianist. Our waiter (I wish I could remember his name) was outstanding and while never bothering us was always right there if we ever needed him for anything. Now the food - unbelievable! My boyfriend is a New York steakhouse snob and he said that the Roth's filet was just as good if not better than any Morton's, Lugers, or Keen's steak he has ever had (and he's had a lot!). When you go, you MUST try the crab cakes, as I am from New England and these rival any I have ever tried. Overall it was a wonderful and romantic night and a great way to end 2006 - you will not be disappointed, once you finally get in the door.
