Tan Top bakery used to be the best and then it came under new ownership. Now, it's okay, but nowhere near being the best. If you go to Tan Top, the best thing to get are the brownies. They have a couple of different varieties (one with cream cheese frosting, one with traditional chocolate frosting, and one with caramel frosting). They serve the brownies chilled and they taste wonderful. The bad thing about Tan Top is that their cookies seem really old and stale. I have two examples. The first example was when I took my son and he got an M&M cookie. You could hardly even tell that they were M&M's because the M&M's were so old that they had turned a white color. The second example is the fact that we recently went to Tan Top sometime in February and they were selling Halloween cookies. Yikes! Did they think nobody would notice that it wasn't Halloween any more?
