Used to LOVE this place but not thrilled with my last visit. Cold food had to be reheated. Apologetic staff makes me willing to try again...

Even for the unromantic (and the canine?!) 10/24/2005

OK, I'm not romantic. I'll admit it. It's a great place for a date but I've been married 13 years, so that's not much of a draw. Why go? Well, if I'm in that part of town, it's usually during the day (not evening). If it's a nice day out, it's great to be able to sit outside (with your dog even! yes, they are a "dog friendly" restaurant (on the patio only, of course)) and enjoy good service and bit of garlic (did I mention it's Italian?). The pasta, the pizza, the service, it's all good! more

Good quality "italian" at romantic (not cheap/not outrageous) prices 8/29/2005

Romeo's,to me, is the height of schmaltzy romance. You walk in at dinner time to a ambiance of twinkle lights and candles on the table. The tables have the standard red/white check going and the exposed beam ceiling is draped in the aforementioned twinkle lights and PLASTIC GRAPES. i kid you not! but some how... these are not tacky. they are perfect. and , yes, -- ROMANTIC. the food is traditional but well executed. Most always I go with the shrimp romeo because, when i don't, i wish i had. It involves shrimp, artichokes and GARLIC. yum. all the food is good, but's is the whole ambiance that kept me going back to romance. Comfortable, cheesy romance-- not that's the whole package :) more
