Worst

Overpriced for what they are, especially in Austin. Too much to look at, not well organized.

old world store 3/2/2007

i have been visiting this store for over 8 years. they opened a second store a few years ago right around the block. i like how they have kept this store traditional and old world. i purchased an antique chinese cabinet from here 5 years ago and still get compliments on it. there seems to be only 1-2 people working here so ask questions. Pros: beautiful furniture, good service, great music playing Cons: small location, can be expensive more

Overwhelm your senses 8/5/2006

The store has beautiful merchandise and lots of it. They now have a second store right behind this store which I don't understand. Why have two of the exact same stores right behind each other? The prices are extremely high and they can't seem to decide what kind of store they want to be. It looks like a mini-department store. The sales staff seem knowledgeable and friendly, but they followed me around the store. They either thought that I was shop lifting or they work on commission! Went in for a couch. You can't buy most of the furniture off of the floor. It has to be special ordered, so prepare for a wait. Pros: Beautiful Atmosphere Cons: High Prices, Haunting Salespeople more

  • In Short
Upon first entering the store, what strikes the senses is the smell of candles, lotions, leather books, wooden tables and rattan chairs. Second is the sound: The India brass bells chime and water gurgles over rocks in a tiny fountain and percussive music all mingle. Old and new import products are assembled throughout the store.
There are sprawling wooden coffee tables and child-sized rocking chairs, Moroccan tables and '50s style Italian olive plates.
