one of the best meals I have had on grub hub

Worst

I went for dinner, and I went for the BBQ sampler -- sausage, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, and ribs. Boy was that a lot of food for only $11.95! The ribs were a little chewy and fatty...

The Weber Grill offers the very BEST BBQ Meatloaf and Burgers around ANYWHERE> ( excellent steaks too) Not to mention the excellent Garlic Mashed potatoes..... The place is well staffed and the food is best you will find around here. Hats off to EVERYONE at ALL three of the Weber Grills! Well I took my family to the grill on new years eve at around 5pm. The food was so bad( no taste what so ever) that I will never return. more

Better than the backyard versions! 1/3/2003

The Weber Grill is truly worth a must see when visiting the Windy City! The food was done to perfection and the ambiance was definitely a worthy grilling experience to remember! I am recomending this resturant to everyone who visits Chicago! Pros: great food, friendly service, fun dining experience Cons: loud, busy, waiting more

It's a cute concept but I expected my dinner to taste fresh off the barbaque grill and it didn't at all. Maybe I ordered the wrong item, but we really weren't impressed at all with this restaurant. Sweet Potato Heaven 12/19/2002

During a buisness trip to Chicago the hotel recommended the Weber Grill. I am so glad they did. NEVER pass up a chance to try the sweet potato's. The manager of the location off Dearborn where I ate told me the sauce was an old family recipe his grandmother gave him.....Melted butter and Brown sugar. The lamb was divine and everything is cooked over hot coles on giant Weber grills (made just outside of Chicago). Pros: Unique, Affordable, Friendly more

Rated Wrong 12/19/2002

my personal experiece @ weber was not great, unlike their grills. The host was slow and the food was not anything special. The local bar on clark street has 10 times better food than here. Only thing that somewhat made up for everything was our nice waiter. I personally would not return, so spend your dollars elsewhere. Also it was too loud with with the live music, really lowering the ambience level to nill. Cons: Bad Food, Poor Value, Too Busy more

Like a country club, but... 12/12/2002

Weber Grill reminds me of a country club restaurant...comfortable intimate surroundings, very nice, with a more casual menu, nothing too fancy. The food is good, however, I don't think Weber Grill is anywhere near a ""Top 10"" in Chicago. While consistently good, I have never been overly delighted with the food, it's pretty standard fare. Not sure what, but something is always missing. Pros: comfortable, nice atmosphere, good variety Cons: not exciting, needs some spice! more

A Fine Steakhouse Alternative 12/4/2002

I've been eating at Weber Grill for 10 years, shamelessly relishing every bite of charry, carcinogenic goodness. I think Weber provides the ""Chicago Steakhouse Experience"" at half the cost of those other, more routinely vaunted beef palaces. And to my taste the Weber grilling method produces a juicier and better tasting steak. The newer locations have a ""chain"" restaurant feel that dissapoints this long-time customer -- but if that is what it takes to get this excellent and reasonably priced steakhouse food to a wider audience, so be it. Some of the expansion team ambience has also rubbed of on the flagship Wheeling store. But I take issue with those who label the whole place a ""gimmick"" and note that along with the expansion in size has come a wonderfully expanded wine list, more choices in the appetizers and a more consistent level of preparation and presentation for the dishes. Pros: Price, Good God, the Grill!, Respectable wine list Cons: Creeping "chainism", Inadequate parking, Predictable desserts more

Came from Philly to take our son and girlfriend to dinner...they picked the spot and we have been telling everyone about it. I hope they open one in Philadelphia soon...it puts snobby Mortons and Ruth's Chris to shame! more

The ranking success of Weber Grill is laughable...best restaurant, best outdoor dining, etc., etc. This is a moderately upscale BBQ spot. It doesn't belong in the dining experience (food, service and ambience) class as Tru, Charlie Trotter's, Trio in Evanston, Le Francais in NW burbs, Everest, Arun's, Topolobampo, Gabriele's in Highwood and Carlos in Highland Park. Let's add Ed Debevic's to the list as well! more

I ATE AT THE WEBER GRILL FOR MY BIRTHDAY LAST YEAR AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING MEAL I'VE EVER HAD. I ORDERED THE HORSERADISH CRUSTED SALMON AND GRILLED ASPARAGUS AND IT WAS TO DIE FOR. Get yer BBQ fix here! 10/25/2002

If you need a backyard BBQ fix without firing up the grill, this is the place for you. Loud, busy, filled with tourists it is nevertheless a good place for a reasonably priced steak or ribs. TERRIBLE!! 10/25/2002

We had read the reviews, but took our chance anyway! I enjoy steak and do not mind paying a few dollars for a steak, but this is NOT the place ot be! The service was the WORST I have ever had and the when I finally got my ""medium-rare"" steak it was almost bruned it was so done. After deabting I asked the waitress to look at it and she said that is how they do Medium-rare---REALLY? The steak was OK but not worth the Money AT ALL! I would not recommend this place to anyone!! The worst part was we walked thruogh the restaurant and almost everyone we heard was either sending their meal back or complaining! GET A CLUE! worth the fun! 10/23/2002

i had found this restaurant on the internet and so when i went to chicago my husband and i decided to try it, it was GREAT. the food was great and the waiter was wonderful. i wouldn't have missed it, and when i go back with my daughter at thanksgiving we will go again. that day we ate outside and the atmosphere was great. the weather was wonderful the flowers in the grills were pretty. don't miss it, you'll be sorry!! Pros: fairly inexpensive, margaritas great, easy to find more
