I am an alumnus of Loyola. It is a medium sized school, consisting of around 10,000 students. The entering class last year consisted of 1,900 students. The school has 2 campuses for undergraduate students, one off of Michigan Avenue and another in Rogers Park (The main campus). The main campus is small but it is stunning, especially in the spring/summer. Tuition is about $25,000 but scholarships and financial aid are available. The class sizes are fairly small so there is a lot of opportunity to interact with your professors and have a lot of one on one time. If you go to Loyola you will get a quality education from great professors.

This school is set up for the benefit of it's owners. They will take your money and you for a ride. Most of the teachers have no earlier teaching experience. You will regret your investment. They act like they are doing you a favor by being there.

If you're looking for a purely technical education, then this is the place for you. All their classes are geared towards some technical degree, they do not offer much more. I think this is a good place to get some extra training or to enhance you career not a full education. Because they offer no liberal arts classes, I do not think you get a full rounded education here. But if all you're looking for is a technical education, then this place will fulfill your needs. They have a nice campus and they offer plenty of classes in the days, evenings, and weekends. It is a nice place to get a good, solid technical education.

I came here for college and left with an associate's degree. I had some good teachers and got good grades and good instruction, and left with a good job. I wish, though, I had been able to stay for a bachelor's degree, but when you're middle class you can't get much financial aid. I am still paying them, years later. But overall a great learning experience.

More
The Univeristy of Chicago is one of the top 20 schools in the nation. It has one of the most nobel laureate faculities too and most of them still teach undergraduate classes. It is located in Hyde Park in chicago's south side and the campus is surprisingly small compared to other institutions. I have to praise their financial aid dept for granting so many grants/scholarships to assist the needy so that the students do not have to pay the full $35000+ a year. Each year's class is not too big, and each class size ranges from 100-200 for general classes to 20 in more specialty classes. I was even in a class of just 6 people for some senior classes. Their athletics facility is awesome as are their intramural clubs. If you ever wanted to learn a skill or sport, there is so much to offer in the evenings. Their dormatories are good, ranging from hotel style in Shoreland, to doubles in Pierce, and singles in Maclean house. Their cultural clubs are great too. Kudos to CUSA for their yearly new year show!!

This place is so boring. When you pay for a public school, you get a public school education. Bureaucracy is awful and paperwork never gets processed. A lot of times people end up taking an extra class or fufilling an excess requirement because the documents weren't in their file when it came town to graduate. I've had to send transcripts 4 or 5 times (at $4 a pop) because they never sent it and have been disqualified for scholarships before because of a UIC glitch. The architecture is depressing but on the bright side, University Village is nice.

More
Having attended for three years, I can say that I have found some of the most knowledgeable, empathetically academic people around. While a Catholic University (and the largest in the nation to boot), conservative it is not in the least. With the exception of not having any kind of condom program, the school is as liberal as they come, pushing diversity nearly to the point of annoyance. However, the result is great possibilities for open discourse and lots and lots of learning.
I'm unable to speak for most of the school of Commerce (which IS one of the largest in the country), but LA&S is a group that you will get to know quickly, and our Theatre and Music programs are absolutely some of the best in the country, comparable to Juilliard and other extremely well-renowned Fine Arts Universities.
Top that off with small class size, great and well cared-for facilities, a wonderful location in the heart of one of the safest neighborhoods in Chicago with accessibility to really everything, and a broad spectrum of people, and I'd say you've got a fabulous institution of higher learning.
One drawback, however, is that DePaul has more than doubled in size in the last ten years, and as a result, the office tango has not quite been worked out yet. The bureaucracy and red tape is not quite under control, and though this is fairly minor, it can definitely be annoying at times.

A bunch of my friends go to this school and I have actually attended a few lectures here. The campus is HUGE, but somehow very homely. There's lots to do around campus. There's plenty of restraunts and bars in the area. Not to mention a huge student body with lots of friendly and intelligennt people -- so you're never bored. And if you are bored -- there's always plenty of studying to do because this school provides a great, rigorous education that you will certainly value and appreciate in the future!
