The Music Box is a really neat old theater. There is a stage with curtains where the movie screen is. It's really cool to go into this place and sit down and watch a movie. It's sort of like seeing a play with the curtains and such. The beauty of the place makes up for the less than great sound system.

This is one of the most popular museums in Chicago. It is always busy. But when I visited, I was not very impressed. For one, they charged 18 dollars per person to enter. And then inside, most of the exhibits required us to purchase extra tickets. For the basic price, there was nothing really impressive to see. Most of the exhibits were sparse and many were closed or "under construction." I would have rather spent my money somewhere more fun.

Everyone is always talking about how great The Shedd is but I find that it's not that incredible. It's definitely a great place for kids and for families but it's on the expensive side and there is not a whole lot to see. You have to pay an additional fee to see the dolphin show. That show I would recommend but in general, I think there are other places to go to in the city. I always feel a bit disappointed after my visit to the Shedd.

It is great place to take a stroll in. They have a nice gift shop there. Be warned about bringing in any bags since if you do then you have to check it in of course you pay to a fee for it. Wide open spaces and plenty of benches for you to take your time. You can also check otu some of the sculptures there too. You can check out the picasso and other works. No parking but if you do park in downtown be expect to pay an arm and a leg. I advised taking the train or bus.

More
The crumbling mess that is known as Wrigley Field sits like some kind of gigantic dog turd in the middle of Wrigleyville spewing its rancid stink through the stench of stale vomit from the bars located around the park. The fact that this putrid place is the location for some of the worst baseball in the city let alone the major leagues just makes the entire eye-sore more painful to deal with.
True and great baseball is played across town in the modern, roomy, well-built mecca of world championship baseball known as U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox play ball the way it is supposed to be played, namely, they win and they win championships.
They have a stadium with great food and plenty of parking. They have a park laid out so you can visit the restroom or go for concessions and still see the game. They have a park where you don't have to pee in a trough.
Avoid Wrigley Field and the Flubs like a plague. Leave the Wrigley Field disaster for those who prefer to back a loser and see baseball in the world's largest open-air bar.

More
I think the Lincoln Park Zoo is a decent one. There are enough animals to look at and other things to do there to make it worth driving in from the suburbs sometimes, and I do like the Lincoln Park neighborhood, so it's fun to be in that area. But with the Brookfield Zoo just 40 minutes away, there's really no competition. So, this is a good once-in-a-while zoo, but your first choice should absolutely be Brookfield.

I do miss the dream team of Jordan, Pippen and Rodman. though the new players of the Chicago Bulls have been improving. The tickets are priced more reasonably now. If you live in chicago, you must check out a bulls game. It is quite exciting.

This is a great Science Museum to take the family too. They have a lot of parking so that is not an issue. It is very easy to get too. The landscaping is pretty. Kids of all ages will enjoy this museum. Its better to go on the weekends otherwise they usually have field trips from school children.

These guys are a little off with stocking new releases. My budget only allows for the OLD OLD selection anyway, so that doesn't matter much to me.It is small for a Hollywood Video, but you can get almost any mainstream movie and some independent films as well. The staff is cool, and that is what really matters when you're shopping corporate, and expecting "same old same old."

More
The story is now told so often it's nearly local folklore--Gary Sinise, John Malkovich and friends started this world-class theatre in a church basement over 30 yrs. ago. It now hosts some of the finest productions in the country, indeed the world as some shows have toured overseas. The famous faces come back often--John Mahoney, Gary Sinise, Laurie Metcalfe, Martha Plimpton, John Malkovich and many others. Located on a lovely strip of Halsted St., where you can dine and shop before the show. As with any theatre, some of the shows beg the question 'What are we looking at?' Trust me it's a good sign: a well established theatre not afraid to keep experimenting.
