This place has the best in several categories that really count: the owner is present and involved and knows what he's doing, the food is outstanding, and the value is where it should be. The Vienna has grown over the years, mostly supported by the Melrose phenomenon, but has consistently had great coffee, breakfast, and lunch. i am always willing to wait for a seat to eat there. The bread alone is a religious experience. Fresh made right there at the bakery, and served with olive oil and fresh parmesan, wow. Breakfast is always fulfilling, fruit is seasonal and fresh, coffee always refilled. The staff is capable, although used to be more um, female... Count on the owner stopping by to make sure everything is ok. And he's really sincere about that. Parking can be a problem, so pay attention to signs and meters.
Pros: best bread & breakfast, coffee and lunch
Cons: parking sometimes
