the only con for me - is that if this restaurant was a byob it would be the best. but thats just me. the waitstaff is very attentive, knowledgeable, come back often to check on y...

Worst

Unfortunately, the beautiful waiters and waitresses were so understaffed it was painful to watch them work so hard and entertain the customers at the same time.

Opera Lover 1/2/2003

Before leaving Michigan for our visit to Philly, we were told that we MUST have dinner at Victor Cafe. With so many wonderful restuarants to choose from, Victor wasn't really our top choice, but we went anyway. It was the best decision we made on our trip! What fun! Our waitress was wonderful, and when she sang we couldn't believe the quality of her voice, along with the other waiters, and a young patron who also stood up and sang. The food was great, too, and we were able to order something that wasn't on the menu and had it prepared special for us. Bravo, Victor Cafe! Pros: Free Opera nightly, Great food, Great ambience more

The most romantic restaraunt!!! 8/20/2002

My wife (then girlfriend) took me here for Valentine's Day 2000. I had never been to this restaraunt before and didn't know what to expect. It was the most romantic evening of my life. The restaraunt is a converted double in South Philly. The waiters/waitresses are opera singers in training. Every 10 minutes or so, a different waiter/waitress breaks out into song. It was just the most amazing date of my life. My wife didn't quite know what to expect and we were both just so thrilled with the ambiance, the food wasn't bad either (actually it was very good).
