Get A Taste of Indian Food 4/24/2006

The Indian Garden is a good place to eat if you want to get a taste of some good Indian food, this is a great place to check out. My husband and I went here for dinner one night and we ordered their tandoori chicken that came sizziling hot to us right to our table. Then we got some of their fresh, hot indian bread with some yougurt on the side. The combination was amazing. They also have a good dessert menu that features some ultra sweet dishes. They also have lots of vegan options. more

Great small place 8/26/2005

The large menu features dishes from India and Pakistan, with several tandoor specialties, including marinated lobster and lamb chops. Kadhai gosht, a mildly spiced dish of boneless lamb cooked in an iron wok with tomatoes, onions and garlic, is a house specialty, as is the raan-e-khyber, a whole leg of lamb marinated in almond paste, yogurt and saffron and roasted in the tandoor. There are several vegetarian options, including the tandoor sabzi, which is a combination platter of marinated vegetables that are roasted in the tandoor oven. more

On a busy street with light music in the backround and a very clean place on devon most stores on devon have bad food but this is a place you can take your boss with wood floors and perfect lighting good for dates and the food is made very quickley but the taste stays in your mouth. Try indian garden if your around the chicagoland area. more

Located in Chicago downtown.Serves very good indian food.Small Bar is also there.I always found full with people and waited for my turn.food they serve in nice style.fried rices are very good there.parking little problem.But they do have business meal in this big business area. more

Downtown location, leaves much to be desired 8/4/2005

As with other downtown eateries, the downtown version of India House (located on Ontario St) is a high-classed, lower-value version of the main Devon ave location. The service is curt and cool. The food is good, however your dish includes neither rice nor bread, which require separate orders. Overall value is poor but in line with other downtown eateries in the area. more
