The Ridge At Barton Creek

I am going to make this short and sweet so you can get a clear picture. The only thing good about this apartment is the location, even though the Greenbelt is dry, living walking distance from Taco Deli and Zilker are definite perks BUT I have had many many issues here. \r *Mice in the kitchen, a constant supply. We have caught 4 already, and they keep coming ( I keep the kitchen spotless).\r *A possum or other large creature living in the ceiling. I hear it scratching its sharp claws every morning. I have complained 4 times about the issue. They have done nothing.\r *The AC does not work in my apartment. I have had maintenance come check it multiple times. It will not cool the apartment below 85 degrees. They said they replaced the condensor, but it has not changed. Then they made me take down the foil I had blocking the sun in our windows. If the AC worked properly, I would not need the foil.\r *Vandalism- There has been a recent string of vandalism in the parking lot. My windsheild was knocked out and the hood dented. Someone threw bricks at my car in the middle of the day! another window was smashed in another car, several other cars have had slashed tires all in the past 3 weeks (and this is only what i know about, there could be other incidents) When I went to complain, they did not seemed too concerned.\r *Whenever I call to speak to the Property Manager, they will not put her on the phone. They take my information and tell me they will give it to her. \r \r I would never have signed a lease here if I has known how horrible my time here would have been. more

WATCH OUT AND BUYER BEWARE. I filled out an application online along with my social security number and everything required. They told me I had an apt (gave me apt number), said I should hook up utilities and get renters insurance (I did this) before move in. Two days before move in I got a call that MY APPLICATION WAS REJECTED. They said my social security number was not accurate (said the SS # I gave belonged to a dead man!). I asked them to run the number again as there must be some mistake. They said ""NO"" we ran it once and we believe their is fraud on your application. Then they said that based on this they were not ONLY keeping my $60 credit check but the additional $300 I paid for the application. I KID YOU NOT! I called their management in San Antonio. She said the same thing. So, now I am taking this to the Attorney General's office, consumer services division and ALSO to small claims court so I insure this does not happen to others. I am a professional and have a solid work history. I went and applied to another apartment the same day (a nicer one by the way) and I was accepted and am moving in this weekend. Really, I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. The staff reminds me of the characters in SEINFELD'S Nasi Soup KITCHEN! more
