Owners were very nice and friendly. The rooms however could have been better on the maintenance. For example, some parts of the carpet were torn. But other than that we had a nice time. more

Loved the location! The staff and availability was awesome. Price was a little steep for me but it was near my destination. Loved the room, but had minor concerns like the quality of the towels (little to rough) and the smell of the room. But overall would stay again more

The room was very clean....there was a little odor in the second room we got moved to but overall it was no big deal. Our first room had a water leak from the ceiling because of the rain but we were moved very quickly to a new room. more

Our stay at the Super 8 was very good. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The most impressive part of our stay was the staff. All staff, day and evening, were extremely helpful when we asked for directions and local activities. We had a special request and the staff went above and beyond to assist us. THANK YOU! Overall, it was one of the nicer Super 8's we have visited. The only negative was that the stool in the bathroom moved around and needed fixed. more

The rooms are clean, the breakfast is OK and the lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Asking us if she could do everything extra, giving us parking and dining advices, all OK.\r \r For this price it is a good motel on a location close to all major scenes in San Antonio. more

When I got there, I found the owner who is a new owner, to be very nice as well as the staff. The room was clean and it had everything necessary for one night. This is a great place to stay close to the Riverwalk. We took a taxi there and back and it was under 10.00 each way. I would recommended this place for a quick overnight stay for friends or families who are just looking for a clean hotel to sleep in close to the Riverwalk at over half the price. more

The first thing I pay attention to upon entering a hotel room is the smell. I traveled for work for over six years, so I have a bit of experience in this area. I found this particular hotel room to be very satisfactory. The room appeared clean and was not overpowering at all to the nose. We only stayed one night, but my hat is off to the staff. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. more

The hotel is in heart of downtown and nice place to stay. Me and my wife enjoyed our three days . The rooms are nice and newly remodeled. Staff is friendly. The breakfast was good and was sumptuous.Its a nice and clean place to stay. The Hotel is value for money more

i recently took a trip to san antonio and i had been going back and forth looking for hotels close to the riverwalk for a reasonable price........i read all the reviews for this hotel and some similar it was hard deciding considering the fact i had never been to san antonio before. this hotel had a lot of mixed reviews but i decided to take a chance......the hotel staff was great, rooms were great, pool was clean, there was a nice and clean setup for the continental breakfast, less than 5 minutes to riverwalk and kids loved it. some people over criticize things this was a nice place to stay with kids for 45 dollars a night!i definitely would stay again more

An extremely well run Inn. The entire staff is competent, helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast is delicious, and Coffee and Tea always available. The rooms are newly remodelled, clean and nice. The beds are extremly comfortable. The Area is coming up very nicely.The Arts centre is nearby and the new extended part of Riverwalk is 1.5 blocks away. more

Guest Gets Locked In Bathroom 11/14/2006

I stayed at this Super 8 recently and locked the bathroom door while I was taking a shower. When I finished my shower, I could not get out of the bathroom. The lock on the bathroom door would not release. I was staying at this motel by myself, so no one knew that I was locked in the bathroom. And I did not take my cell phone into the bathroom, so I could not call for help. After 30 minutes of twisting, jerking and pulling vigorously on the doorknob, I was able to break-off the doorknob and take apart the lock mechanisms inside the door...and ultimately get out of there! Cons: Greasy/sticky bathtub. Jammed lock on bathroom door. Large stain on chair upholstery. more
