great place to eat! 11/17/2008

Springhill is the best place to eat in town. I love the springhill salad and their great chicken. I have tried just about everything on the menu and I love it all. The people their are great I have never met anyone that was rude. Also I think the other lady needs to chill. Sometimes you get bad service sometimes you dont order enough for your size. You have to deal with that I guess. Everything awesome there though. I have never heard of or seen a complaint except for that lady that didn't get enough food in the other review I read. Crazy Pros: people, food, environment Cons: nothing more

HORRIBLE!!! 6/29/2008

My husband and I wanted to try it out b/c we wanted something inexpensive and close to where we were. It was horrible. I don't eat much at all, and it didn't even fill me up. The prices are expensive for the quality that you get. I ordered the grilled catfish dinner (4 pieces) and I thought I would have some to take home for the next meal. Nope. The pieces were smaller than chicken tenders. All of my food was lukewarm; even the cole slaw. I could have prepared better food at my home.\r The service was bad. I kept having to ask for water, and still didn't get a refill. I agree with a previous reviewer that you would be better off going to long john silvers than going here. \r Bathrooms were kind of yucky, but not unbearable. Pros: Plenty of parking space, close to shopping Cons: food quality, food value, service more

Southwest Austin Favorite! 2/19/2008

As a long time Spring Hill patron, I know exactly what I'm getting when I go there. I don't care about the plastic utensils or the fact that it's not glamourous. It's a favorite in Southwest Austin and we love it! \r It's the only place I'll eat fried catfish. The folks are friendly, the prices are fair and the catfish is always good. We love the fact that every weekday provides a different bonus entree with our fish. Sometimes simple is better. If you want linen napkins and a stuffy atmosphere, go find it somewhere else. If you want to eat good food with your friends, this is where you want to go for lunch. Pros: Friendly service, easy going atmosphere, good food Cons: It's on a busy corner, parking lot not the best more

Avoid at all cost 7/19/2007

The food was fast food quality at best, way over priced, and the service was poor. We had to ask for drink refills, more plastic utensils, more paper napkins, and even the rest of our meal. We should have known better with only a couple other victims eating at 6pm rather than a crowd. I am surprised they have 3 other locations. You'll get better food at Long John Silvers without the Cheesecake factory price! Pros: Close to home Cons: Way too many to list more

Feels like home 9/13/2002

I loved this down home seafood. The hush puppies were my favorite next to the shrimp. more
