Don't let the looks of the place discourage you. This place is certified fresh. Fresh bread! Fresh lemonade! Waaaay better than Subway, Jimmy John's, Schlotsky's (sp?), or even Thundercloud (which is pretty darn good). If you're in the area when they're open - you must try this place! more

Been coming to the Sandwich Garden since i discovered it in 78. When ever i worked in the area or if i have some time off and it's lunch i go have one of their tasty sandwiches. My fav is the garden sub. Best tasting sandwich in town, easy. the franchise places will never come close. Dig the three melted cheeses, salami/ham combo and an actually hot sandwich, not like the other places that just warm the bun. hope it stays open forever. Pros: great sandwiches, made to order. more

Sandwich Garden has ""to DIE for"" sandwiches. They are mouth watering. The mustard/mayo combination, melted cheeses on homemade bread... My favorite is the Ham and cheese - I usually can only eat a small portion of anything, but I will make myself eat the regular size sandwich which to my eyes is a normal large. Some people say these sandwichs are an aquired taste, but I can only picture the bread being an aquired taste. The bread is soft and very easy on the jaw. They have a great vegitarian sandwhich, I recommend the small sandwich if you don't want to eat the other half for dinner. The large sandwich you could divide among a small family of 3. The Garden Special is also a favorite of mine with three meats, melted cheese and olives. The turkey sandwich I recommend with melted cheese, hold the mayoniase! This little sandwich shack is the best there is and has been around since most of the houses in that neighborhood. I recommend ordering to go, their facility is a place for regulars, not for reviewers! Pros: huge portions for affordable price Cons: neighborhood and building not so great more
