Salon Sirrah

I had eyelash extensions done by Ize, and ARTIST, by the way! Ize has a lovely presence, and she made me comfortable in every way. Her treatment room was cozy and her working style was relaxed. I'd never had extensions on my eyelashes before and I was a bit sceptical about how they'd look on me, but when I looked in the mirror the first time after they were done, I was immediately pleased with how natural they were. They looked exactly the way I would have done them myself, if I had the time and skill. I don't have to wear mascara, eyeliner, and so far, I've had no difficulties with showering or washing my hair. It takes about 24 hours of doing nothing to them but I didn't even have to worry about sleeping with them on! Ize gave me specific instructions about not using oil to clean my eyes, but I don't use oily products on the eyes anyway. more

Salon Sirrah is fabulous. I would recommend Kenva Pennington to all of my friends (male and female). The salon is so clean and the staff is so personable and friendly. The environment is so warm and the results on my cut, color, and final due were glorious! I have never gotten so many complements on my hair!! The salon is like a cozy cottage, all hardwood floors, beautiful ornate mirrors on the walls, and no harsh chemical smells. The staff offered me wine while I got my hair done (it was clear I'd had a long day). Kenva Pennington takes her time with your hair and is truthful on the best cut and color combo for your hair (she is an excellent advisor on what will and won't work on you:). My eyelashes are long but thinning and fine, almost invisible. These extensions give my eyes a more dramatic effect without looking unnatural at all. Elaina Wilcox found me after my appearance on What Not to Wear. I have very curly hair and haven't been able to find anyone to cut it properly. She was able to give me a fresh cut that still looks great several weeks later! She even gave me tips on how to get out of the short-hair rut, with accessories and different ways to style short hair. She did a great job on my curls, and I look forward to going back! more

Salon Sirrah has a great atmosphere and an excellent vibe. I have been around Austin for awhile, and Shelly is the best stylist I have seen. She does a great job styling my hair and does an excellent job coloring it as well. Shelly gets me to think outside of the box when it comes to my hair and knows what fits my personality best. She contributes to the excellent atmosphere with her charming personality and infectious smile. Shelly rocks. more

And it lasted all night at a wedding while I danced and went outside in the heat/humidity. Shelly has been coloring my hair for almost four years and I am always happy with it. The price is right, the quality is great, and the salon is a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The other stylists produce great results as well, and overall Salon Sirrah is a happy place to spend a couple of hours. Pros: Skilled professionals, salon ambience Cons: Next to Taco Shack, which makes me want to cheat on my diet! more

I am always so pleased with my hair after seeing David. I have curly hair, which can be challenging, but he always finds a way to keep it fresh and funky. He puts a lot of thought into what he is doing, so I never feel rushed or ignored while I am in his chair. He has a lot of his own personal style so I know that creativity is going to come out in my cut. I like the small salon and casual atmosphere there too. His demeanor is always happy and positive and I leave a happy camper every time. more

David truly loves what he does and I always leave the salon energized and entertained. I rely on David to keep me looking and feeling beautiful, I really can't say enough about him! He works tirelessly on my color and always has a fresh idea for my look. Tons of compliments every time I walk out of there! He is truly talented, fun, witty and I always look forward to a trip to see him. ALSO! he did my hair and my 4 bridesmaids for my wedding. We have never looked so beautiful.
