I had a 1:00 pm appt time. I wasn't seen until 2:30. I showed Lisa not one but two pictures of exactly what i wanted my hair color to be. I was going from medium brown to a lig...

great haircut & color and really nice people 9/27/2008

Elaina did a great job cutting and coloring my hair. I think it looks great and so do my friends. She was really personable and we talked the whole time. Salon Sirrah looks great too, really comfortable and classy place. I'd go back there and send my girls there too! more

Great Haircut - a bit rushed? 9/19/2008

After reading reviews on Citysearch and having a couple of dissapointments with other salons here in Austin I decided to give Salon Sirrah a try. It was easy to find an appointment that fit my hours, and once I got there I had to wait no more than 2 minutes for my stylist to be ready. Elaina is very friendly, cut a bit more than I expected, but it was a great, chic haircut which is exactly what I was after. I have had several compliments on my hair. I was not so thrilled by the styling, she seemed rushed (probably to avoid making the next customer wait, which is in part understandable- I rather wait a whole hr for my turn but know the stylist will be fully dedicated to a perfect result...). I ironed my hair before going out that night, and although that was a bit upsetting, after all the compliments I've got I plan on going back. So despite all this I would totally recommend going to the salon, it's a very nice cozy place and Elaina is very talented. I guess as in any new place it's important to make sure the stylist knows exactly what's expected. more

Must See Carolyn Taylor at Salon Sirrah!! 9/15/2008

Carolyn has been my stylist for over 2 years, but just recently moved to Salon Sirrah. The combination of Carolyn's amazing styling and color with the gorgeous and relaxing setting of Salon Sirrah makes for a wonderful experience that I highly recommend! The salon itself is stylish, yet comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and contagiously enthusiastic. Carolyn gets to know her clients and listens, which makes for a a style that not only looks great, but works the best for your lifestyle! Every time I stand up from Carolyn's chair, I am not only ecstatic about my hair, but also pleased with her reasonable prices! Go to Carolyn at Salon Sirrah for an outstanding salon experience! more

Nothing but Compliments to Carolyn Taylor 9/12/2008

I have been going to see Carolyn Taylor since I moved here three years ago and I recommend her to all my friends. She does a great job on simple cut to an extreme of cutting off 7 inches of hair for the cutest bob! I have always been very pleased with my color and somehow, Carolyn manages to make it all look natural. I have recommended her to all my friends who recently have moved to Austin and got nothing but great feedback. She is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her. She offers great prices and outstanding customer service! more

She just moved to Salon Sirrah when it opened. Shelly does a fantastic job on color, and she has a real eye with adapting cuts to suit you. She can cut any kind of style, but, whatever the case, it will look natural, look like you, if you know what I mean... She is also a blast to talk to, which is important! The salon used to be an art gallery, and it is still a great space, earthy decor, wood furniture and beautiful mirrors. Love it!! more

Eddy Harris is the BEST!! 8/15/2008

I've been going to Eddy for many years and have never had a single cut or color that was not absolutely beautiful!! People are always complimenting me on my style and color. Eddy listens to what you want and always exceeds your expectations. He is creative and has a great eye for what looks best on you. He never overbooks or makes you wait and he never rushes you. He is fast when you need to get out and always does an exceptional job!! I live in Georgetown and will always travel to Eddy's Salon no matter how far. After Eddy does your hair, all of your friends and co-workers will want to go to him too. Pros: Friendly, Creative, Fun, Professional, Customer Oriented Cons: NONE more

Best high/lowlights 8/15/2008

Salon Sirrah is great and Elaina is the best! I've been going to her for years - even when I lived out of town. I'd drive back for the weekend whenever I needed my high/lowlights redone. I love the way she does color and it's always very consistent. She also does my cuts and knows what kind of haircut I'll like better than I do! Definitely highly recommended!!! more
