So so good 4/2/2006

I tried out Root because I live nearby, and was lured by the $50 unlimited first month trial membership. And then, I quickly fell in love with this place. The instructors are all really wonderful, there's a great variety of classes, and the staff and surroundings are warm and comfortable. (It's so nice there, swanky yet unintimidating.) There's a nice variety of clients, too... old folks and youngsters. I bought a year membership, which was a big investment, but I am glad I did so. I always feel great during and after my visit to Root. Pros: instruction, nice facility, showers and sauna Cons: pricey, no midday classes more

Nice place, but too expensive 2/14/2006

This place has a beautiful atmosphere and good instructors. The thing I don't like about it is that you can either buy a year membership (you have to pay a large amount of money up front) or pay a $15 drop-in fee, there is nothing in between. I haven't been back in a while because it is too expensive to pay a $15 fee each time and I can't afford a year membership. If they got class cards, I would come back.   • This year marks our 5th anniversary. It is truly inspiring to see the community of neighbors & friends who make Root a regular part of their life. While we've definitely gone through our growing pains, it seems our intentions & vision have never waivered, which is to provide a place for those who embrace holistic health to be still, get grounded & remember that they were born a beautiful, whole being.
    In meditation, I sit in awe & gratitude for the quality of people we have in our community, the many teachers, healers and guides who share the same standards & intentions when they walk through our doors every day. We continue to beat our collective drum that preventative health care is not self-indulgence, but rather necessary self-care that allows one to ultimately take better care of themselves and others. Thank you for allowing us to be your resource for holistic health care.
