Small and crammed to the gills--reminds me of neighborhood hardware stores in much larger cities such as san francisco or nyc. You're never more than 20 ft from the counter-so it's easy to shout requests for what ever dodad you're looking for-instead of chasing down some harried employee at home depot. Very convenient location-I can't count the number of keys I've had cut there. Highly recommended! more

Perfect Neighborhood Hardware Store 8/2/2005

The people at Rex's are some of the most helpful people around. If you are sick of wandering aroung Home Depot, this place is for you. They have a lot of stuff that is hard to find. Also their glass department is awesome. Best prices on cut glass in the city. If you need a new project, just head over to Rex Hardware, and you will find something to build or fix. more

Rex is Small but Smart 8/1/2005

If I can't find something at Home Depot or Target, I head to Rex's. I have been there more than once when I can't find a bathtub plug that fits, or a certain type of doorknob. They have come through for me. Very nice for pickign up the unusual stuff. Great service, too. They have always been willing to answer questions for me. more
