Mark at Red Red Red is amazing. I just got yet another great haircut from him. In addition to being amazing with a set of scissors, he is great to talk to. He is friendly and one of the few stylists that will have a real conversation with you. Additionally, he was able to cut my hair thinking about my upcoming wedding, giving me different options and ideas for how to style for the event. He is delightful. Not too long ago I stepped into Red Red Red and like any new client I had a bit of dread due to past dissappointments from other salons I had went too. But not this time. This time I was walked out with a smile of joy on my face after getting the shiniest color of brunette and a smart cut. Not too long ago I had to attend a birthday party of a friend of mine, the theme of the little shindig was costume only. So I took a look at myself and thought what better excuse to try a new salon and a new stylist. I arrived at Red Red Red and was fortunately placed in the hands of Eleanor who by the time she colored me up and gave me a cut and style that would make Marilyn green, I could boast that I was a relation of Ava Gardner! I have very curly hair and have had a terrible time with hair-cuts. It never ends up looking the way I envision, and always seems to be big and out of control. Not this time! Mark gave me the best shape and style, keeping in mind my need for ease. He listened to what I wanted and delivered, giving great advice on styling. the days of being a toe head blonde are far gone behind me. these days my hair is something between a light brown or dark blonde shade. but the fact of the matter is getting fun colors that aren't close to my natural color can be quite bothersome when it comes to the morning i wake up and nearly break the mirror seeing those roots. so when i came to red red red, despite what ideas i may had to try going brunette again (had been trying brown for awhile), i was instead professionally convinced otherwise. besides the help and suggestion to try undergoing a color close to my dirty blonde hue, which i must say looks pretty decent and funny considering i'm not used to seeing my ""natural"" coloring, but the salon and the people within it were great. i would recommend this salon, not only to get good professional opinions, but for the cozy and amicable setting. Cons: parking is a pain but blame the city for that nonsense more

I gave this place two shots, just to be fair (plus they have those half off gift certificates for sale). I have never been thrilled with my cut either time -- both times it was slightly uneven, and this last time even though I said I was growing it out for a wedding I'm going to be in, she took off 2 inches! I loved the color (I had highlights and lowlights, and I'm already a natural medium blond, so it wasn't anything too extreme from my base color), but it faded within a month. I hope this doesn't happen again! It's a cute enough place, small, and decently priced (cut, blowdry, highlights and lowlights ran me $175) however I don't plan on returning. If I'm going to spend the money on a cut and color, I want to love it, not be ambivalent! I found the staff to be very friendly- but unfortunately I left the salon in tears. A few months ago I made an appointment (after receiving a recommendation from a friend) just for some simple blonde highlights and trim. I just recently had a baby and was feeling a bit down, so I wanted to freshen up my image and try somewhere new. The trim was ok- nothing groundbreaking. However, the highlights TURNED MY HAIR ORANGE. I was so mortified- they still charged full price-over 100$ (which seemed a lot higher than the price they quoted me on the phone) and made no attempt to fix it. All she suggested is that I try and get used to it, and it looks like people will think it was that color on purpose. She said it looked ""cool"". Um, no, it looked like a bad dye job. Any professional would know that even though you have a next appointment coming in, there are 3 things that would have fixed the situation. 1. None of the coworkers were busy and could have taken some time to fix the mistake. 2. DO NOT charge the customer full price (I spent ANOTHER 100 at another salon to fix it with a proper colorist) 3. Take less than one minute to walk over to the schedule book and offer an appointment to repair the damaged goods you created. I will never return and certainly never recommend this place for anything other than a friendly smile. I found Red Red Red through a friend who lived in the city. I had the pleasure of meeting Eleanor who cut my hair the first time and everytime since. I won't let anyone else touch my hair but her. She's very knowledgable of current technique in both cut and color. The location is very cozy and the staff couldn't be nicer. Great prices too! I have used another stylist one day when Eleanor was over-booked. That stylist is Cathy, who also did a great job on my cut...and I'm fussy about who does my hair. They're a great team and I enjoy my time there. Check them out...you won't regret it at all! Pros: great prices, expertly trained stylists who listen,give advice then I get a great cut!! Cons: small con, but the phone service picks up alot, and calls are not always returned. more

I have been to the best salons in the city who promised to deliver excellent color with my hair feeling soft and looking shiny,but time and time again they failed to deliver. I was referred to Eleanor at red red red because she is an artist with color and I was even more pleased when I found she even worked for the color company Goldwell. She greeted me kindly and we looked over color swatches to help visually decided which color I was looking for. She took the time to find out what kind of commitment I was prepared to devote to my color. Once we finished our consultation she performed her magic... My color is fabulous!! And so is my haircut!! I've shouting her praises to my friends and I have had numerous people stopping me and asking where I got my hair done. for quite awhile i have been searching for a good salon with good stylists that could give me the chance to be creative with my hair. i've had short, long, even red hair, and now im super blonde... but the only place that could have honestly done it wonderful was here. Eleanor, one of the owners of the salon, was able to beautifully fulfill these gorgerous changes for me. I couldn't be more happy with my hair. the very products for sale there are awesome and do wonders for all types of hair... prducts range from goldwell, kms, aveda. the color they use is goldwell and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Pros: everything Cons: parking more
