horrible 4/4/2011

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. There is absolutely no way to talk to your property manager even in the most critical situations. The favorite response is “he is on meetings, he is on vacation, he left earlier, I have not seen him, etc”. The worst part about it is that voicemails and other ways of communication simply don’t work. Paul Meisler does not return your calls, emails, etc. Our HOA got into financial troubles after this company became our management company. Please, please, read these reviews if you ever consider to work with him. more

Pathetic From Owner Down.. 1/28/2010

I have been a tenant under the management of Paul Meisler and his pathetic excuse of a company for (3) three years. During this time, I have been subjected to incompetence, hostility from staff, and unresponsiveness to maintenance issues. The same issues of concern are riddled throughout the review section here on CitySearch. That alone should say something of their ability, professionalism, and dedication to excellence. If there were an option for less than one star, I would have chosen it. They have repeatedly tried to overcharge me claiming non-payment of rent while receipts of payment were in possession, twice sent eviction notifications for non-payment while; yet again, receipts of payment were in possession, delayed for (5) five days in repairing a hot water heater during winter, and delayed for (6) six days in repairing the air conditioner during summer. I could list the minor issues here that are still unresolved, but the illustration has been made. If you are a property owner or a tenant, this is the most deplorable organization I have come in contact with. You would be well advised to not have any contact or business dealings with this incompetent bunch of unresponsive, lackadaisical, disrespectful "professionals". As soon as my current lease is complete, I will RUN from any contact in the future. I don't know how more to get the point across that Pioneer Real Estate Services is owned/operated/managed with complete indifference to their responsibilities and obligations to the property owner and tenant. Read the reviews, it's blindingly apparent. Pros: None Cons: Everything more

ceap shack 4/9/2009

We've been using them for a while and since we been here a employee has never came over to the Duplex's. Which can be a good thing but when you have a fence falling over they that dont want to fix, Along with a front door that needs new insulation(unless you really wanna hear what people walking down the sidewalk outside have to say). Within the time frame the only thing they quickly worked was an AC unit. (thats only because they have to by law). Took us 5 Calls and 1 professional to get them to come out and fix the post in the car port that hold the whole roof up. When we First moved in we had to give them a post dated check for a pet deposit which they ""Lost"" but then found and cashed after we wrote them another one...which they cashed too. Good thing they can handle money right?Even as I type this I am having to deal with them even tho the Owner of the duplex Switched management companies they still think we some how owe them late rent... Idiots. Do yourself a favor and AVOID PIONEER PROPTY. Only marked 1 star due to the Location of our duplex but they dont really have anything to do with that. Pros: they NEVER come to the property Cons: they dont do any thing more

HOA Management Rip-off on Resale Certificate fees 3/19/2009

If you are considering PM as an HOA manager, please ... please Google for "Texas Property Code" and read chapter 207. Currently this class-act is charging $400.00 for resale certificates and truth be told, the assembly and distribution takes less than 30 minutes. If done electronically, it can be done in under 15 minutes. Do you call that a REASONABLE fee. Here is where insult is added to injury. They exclude ... YES .. EXCLUDES the "Resale Certificate" and "Transfer" fees as part of their compensation. THEY HIDE/SHIELD THIS INCOME FROM THE HOA!Secondly they allow themselves to charge for these two services without the consent/approval of the BOD. Thirdly, they give themselves the right to alter this price as they see fit WITHOUT notification or approval of the BOD. READ THE FINE PRINT!! What I'm saying is that their contract is taylored to allow them to hike-up fees without notification. If you are considering PM as an HOA property manager, have an attorney review the contract first. Make them remove anything that says, "We hold the right to increase fees at any time for any reason". Make them lower their fees to something reasonable. However, if you are smart you'd move on to someone who listens to the customer. Pros: They are NOT pros. Freaking great lip service and bs Cons: Yes "Cons" is the perfect word!! more

These guys are pathetic. 2/19/2009

Don't waist your time renting from them, or using them as your property management company. Chances are you'll end up with a law suit due to their terrible attitudes, work ethic, and service. If you're already involved with them, good freaking luck. Pros: absolutely NONE Cons: THEY are the cons more

First rate organization 12/1/2008

I read some of these reviews and decided to comment, which I usually do not do. Pioneer has been our management company for nine years. We left Alliance to move to Pioneer and have been very pleased with their service, professionalism and willingness to help our community. As a former board member, I have been able to observe their services while on the Board and in more recent years as a homeowner. The Board meetings and annual meetings are well run and organized. We receive prompt and accurate information from their office and we have nine consecutive clean Audits verifying our funds are being handled properly. I would highly recommend Pioneer.\r \r more

Personal and Professional 11/29/2008

Thanksgiving was not pretty this year. We live in a 100+ unit condominium community and a water line burst on the second floor in our condo building and flooded several units. I called Thursday afternoon to report the emergency and received a call back in just a few minutes. Plumbers, water vac people and men to help move furniture were at the property in less than an hour. It was a mess, but by nightfall the situation was under control and we could all sleep without worry about how we would ever clean things up. I was in contact with the property manger several times during the ordeal and feel that the team as a whole did a magnificent job of putting our lives back together and helping us feel safe and supported. I do not know what more I could have expected or received from these people. In my opinion, you can forget the small stuff. This is why we have management. Good Job Pioneer! A very satisfied customer. Pros: responsible, reliable and courteous Cons: none come to mind more

Disgusting Exuse of a Company 9/10/2008

They charge us $500 for something we did not do. They had absolutely no proof whatsoever. When we call Paul Meisler, he would not bother to talk to us. Stay away from this company they are a bunch of cowards. more

Bent over good. 6/24/2008

If you want to see your property seriously degrade, pay ridiculous amounts of money to contractors for lawn/pool service, and experience extremely unresponsive service, this is the perfect property management company. Please notice that A1 Services is located on the same floor as Pioneer. We ended up with bids from A1 that were astronomical compared to bids from other contractors. What is the relationship between these two companies? If there is some relationship, should that be disclosed to clients? If you are using this company, recommend that you watch the finances VERY carefully. Should a small property be paying $700 to $900 per month for landscaping services?? My favorite was the $200 to $300 charge every month for a "porter" service that supposedly swept the sidewalks and picked up trash. Or maybe it was the extra $50 we paid for pool service and landscaping for a "long" month with 31 days. What a bunch of suckers we were until we fired these folks. Please be careful - recommend that you closely monitor where your money is going. We are very happy with our new manager. Hope you will be, too. Pros: Their office is extremely fancy and Paul M. dresses impeccably. Office is right next door to A1 Services so they can more efficiently bend you over. Cons: Extremely high cost of maintenance (wonder where that is going?). Extremely poor responsiveness. more
