Pizza Lucé Uptown

The pizza is good (good, not great) but the service leaves much to be desired. The pizza is a bit overpriced--$17 for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza--really? The St. Paul location is cleaner and has somewhat friendlier staff, I'd rate them a 3.5. more

Really good pizza here and if you haven't been you have to try the baked potatoe pizza. Something different than you can get at most places! more

I hadn't known much about Pizza Luce until I got a job in the area recently, and I gotta say I'm sorry I didn't find it sooner. My favorite thing right away is the awesome selection of ingredients they have to choose from. If you want mashed potatos on your pizza, no problem. Some kind of whacky-but-oh-so-tasty bbq chicken mix? They got you covered. The service is great as well because the employees are friendly and talkative. About my only complaint as far as taste is concerned is the garlic/cheese bread, just doesn't hit the right spot with me. more

Pizza Luce is a very good pizza restaurant with three locations in Minneapolis. The pizza here is gourmet, and very interesting. Mashed potatoe pizza? They've got it. Bear (meaty) pizza? They've got that too. They also have other entrees and terrific desserts. They offer beer and wine, but not a full bar. (I was dissapointed once to not be able to get a barcadi Diet). Pizza Luce also delivers. more

Pizza luce has a variety of pizza options, I have had a few. They taste ok but, there is something different about the crust. It is just not my style. I have been referred there by many people who are very pleased with the pizza though. I will eat there again but it is not my first choice for pizza. I say if you like pizza give it a try. more

Our eating establishments reflect the era and epoch out of which they emerged and that's what makes it all (life) so interesting. This is a pizza shop with 80s Gen X attitude. But the attitude is all in the looks, really, as I have yet to find the staff as mean and indifferent as they appear and not even close to the 70 year old waiters at La Luna in New York's Littly Italy. Nuff said. The style here, again, is very different than Broadway pizza (thin crust) witth its medium crust and Leaning Tower (traditional toppings) with its inventive and delightfully surpirsing ingredients and a lilte less thick a build up than Greenmill (thick as a brick). Pizza Luce is gourmet pizza without an accent or snottiness (Wolfgang Puck) and I am tempted to say this is the best pizza in the city but for the problem that all these different styles appeal to the fansy at different times.
