This company is honest and dependable. I moved into a house infested with bugs and ants, Pest Shield came with a recommendation from a friend of mine and the lived up to the recommendation. They offer quarterly maintenance contracts with a 90 day guarantee after each treatment. We are having a really hard time getting rid of the ants in my home because they went untreated for so long and our technician came back after 7 days and will be coming back until they're gone; free of charge with no hassle. The girls at the office have been very helpful and nice and I even received a call from the owner after a mishap with my pond when the pesticide was sprayed. It has been completely rectified. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat, not to mention, they were the cheapest after calling about six companies for service. more

We have been using pest shield for a year and weren't impressed. While the technicians were nice, the people in the office were snippy and didn't return calls. They charge quarterly fees to fill the tubes in the wall, but if you find any bugs in your home and need a treatment, you have to pay extra for the treatment. In other words, they do not guarantee their tube treatments. Another company we switched to does guarantee their tube services, which means I only pay four payments a year and if I have any pest problems inside my home, they will come and spray for free. We had Pest Shield come and spray for fleas twice (90$ for two treatments 3 weeks apart), but their flea treatment only has a 30 day warrantee. Flea eggs take 3 weeks to hatch (so you only have a few days to find them before you have to spend 90$ more dollars on a treatment). The company we switched to will spray for fleas 10 days apart, free of charge, as many times as necessary (this is because we're signed up for the quarterly tube service) to resolve the problem. It's a much better set up! more

I just recently moved to San Antonio and am not familiar with bugs/critters in the area. Pest Shield was recommended and I sure know why! They came and explained everything to me and were very knowledgable. Even a week later when I thought I had termites they came and told me it was only ants! They could have easily told me different and I would never have known. The employees are very professional and I feel great knowing I have a bug free home! Hightly recommend Pest Shield to anyone! more

Recently I discovered what I thought was bed bugs in my home. I call pest shield. They said they could come out the same day, which i did not expect it was late in the day. The person that answered the phone seemed to be concerned as me. The inspector came ou twithin about an hour and did a thourough inspection of my home. to my suprise no bed bugs. By that time I had become somewhat sure that I needed some kind of treatment. the inspector that came out had every opportunity to sell me something. by that time I was borderline paranoid. The pest shield employee insisted that he did not want to sell me something I did not need. I really appreciate that they did not try to take advantage of my situation. I will reccomend this company to everyone. its hard to find this kind of honesty and integrity in any company. more

To whom it may concerne. Our home became home to a racoon, we hired another company to get rid of it after three weeks the racoon managed to create a mess and cause a fowl odor in our attic. We decided to call Pest Shield because a friend reccomended them. we called them at around 10:00am they showed up around 11:00am same day the extracted the animal imediately, cleaned up the mess, deodorized the attic and were done by about 4:00pm the same day...now thats excellent service. Pros: lighning fast service. more

To whom it may concern, I have been a customer for many years and Pest Shield has alwaly under promised and over delivered year in and year out. Sometimes, as with any growing company, there seems to be some comunication problems between office and technician. Whenever my concerns are expressed to management, Mr. Alongi, Mr. De La Cruz, or whichever department manager are always deeply concerned and immediately take action. I had a young man by the name of Roger that works for this company service my house. He said next time to call him that he would do it cheaper than the company charges.... My experience is the same as btread...I was with them for almost 4 years and have decided to use a new company. When I first started with them the young man that was assigned to my house - would prompt and thorough. He left for a different position and the several guys that have come to spray are not near as thorough as a result I have had to twice pay for them to come out in between regular sprayings and pay the extra fuel charge each time. After speaking with management over my dissatisfaction there is an air of ""we really don't care"". I am sending my business else where now. more

I have been a customer of pest shield for 9 years, but recently I have found there service to be lacking. I have an extended service agreement which states that they will retreat for any reason for not additional charge during the 3 months after treatment. A year ago or so they started charging a fuel surcharge (too bad we all can't charge a fuel surcharge) to treat the house every 3 months. Recently, I asked them for a retreatment, and they charged me a fuel surcharge. I am looking for a new pest control company. more
