Worst

Food is just so-so. Ambiance is good, service is ok. Try Imperial or Jade Garden for real Chinese in Denver. Cons: long wait, food is average

WAY less than satisfactory experience 5/5/2012

WAY less than satisfactory experience in Denver today. Got in at 3:45 and after bringing drinks, our server deliberately made us wait until 4:07 to take our order so we would be unable to order from the lunch menu. We did not receive our entrees until 5:40 and did not receive our check until 6:15 pm. This may well be the reason we only eat there once per decade. If I pay $70.00 for what should have been lunch for myself and my children, it should not take two hours. Very unhappy. more

Yuck! Pretentious bad food. 1/1/2009

bad food, filthy bathrooms. menu items were more like deep fried than pan sauteed. light dusting is an understatement. tasted pre-made, too much added soy, spice, etc... seemed like on the level of mcdonalds style fast food. good service. yuck! Pros: Cant think of any more

Worse than mall food 8/31/2008

Entered the trendy-looking, neat, stylish restaurant expecting some great food. The menu sure looked good, and had lots of options. more

Okay food, Americanized Chinese 6/15/2007

I do like P.F. Changs at times. It is Americanized, the food is average but they do have a huge dining room. I find their food to be Way too salty and fattening. more

It's worth the trip 9/19/2006

Alright, I love asian food and I especially love decent asian food. I am sick of all the people complaining about how its not chinese enough. If you what real chinnese, you better move to San Fran or hop on a plane to China so get over the fact that its not 100% chinese. Stupid americans think because they once went to a REAL chinese restaruant, they know the real deal. Are you serious? PF should be praised for trying to create new dishes while keeping the old at a high level of taste. Last time I checked, old mom and pa were making the same old chop suey in the back and never tried something new. I can honestly say, I've never had this dish before when i choose an item from PF's menu. Besides who wants 100% chinese food any ways? Have some you ever eaten it? Pretty freaking scary is what it is. After reading this novel, you are probably wondering what gives me the right to say anything. Well, I am a half Thai american who recently went to thailand and thought the some of the 100% real thai food was pretty gross. Maggets, Toads, crochroachs arent my style so I am sticking to the American version of the menu. Besides I'm for saving sharks, no shark fins for me please. Opps, I guess I dont enjoy 100% chinese food! Pros: Food, Layout, Class Cons: Prices are a little steep more

Get off the Beaten Path 8/20/2004

While there is nothing wrong with PF Chang's, per se, better Chinese food abounds elsewhere. Chang's serves meat sparingly, preferring to load dishes with filler vegetables. The sauces are bland and the menu is uninteresting. People flock to this restaurant because it is corporate, provides the glitzy atmosphere that makes them feel special, and let's them pretend they are trying something ""ethnic."" I can understand wanting to dine somewhere with the ambience that is not always provided by ""hole-in-the-wall"" Chinese restaurants, but food value and quality should be of foremost importance. Come on people! Get out of your safety zone and try an independent restaurant. Try Spice China in Louisville for great atmosphere, a diverse menu with familiar and ""safe"" options, as well as more adventursome choices. You'll do yourself a huge service. Pros: good bar Cons: , low value, crowded more

Great Place 5/18/2004

Waitstaff was very friendly and gave us excellent seating. Loved the food it's delicious and not overpriced and it came very quickly. Great place for a date! Pros: Great food, Great Service more

Chiang vs. Chang 12/30/2003

I like what they did with this franchise. They're trying to introduce more authentic dish's/flavors in an Americanized setting. I definitely think this works for places where there isn't such a large ethnic Chinese population like Colorado, Ohio, Wisconsin, the midwest, etc. This place offers a consistent new flavor for people afraid to venture into a Chinese neighborhood restaurant that might not have the same marketing, decorative/atmosphere appeal. Pros: atmosphere, marketing more

Chinese food with personality 2/9/2003

This is a resturant worth the wait. The food is good, the atmosphere is booming and the employees are really nice. You will have to wait to eat here, but you must try this one out. The servings are large and the taste is money. You will understand why everyone wants to eat here once you experience it for yourself. Pros: Good food, Good service, fun atmosphere Cons: long waits, crowded seating area, small tables for two more

Bistro this Chang 2/4/2003

Designer Chinese food? Clearly insulting to even consider this place. It's really for over paid yuppies who want to experience being not seen in poor lighting. The food is crap. Chang obviously just hired some schmuck off the street taught him how to prep frozen chinese food, doused it in Emeril Sauce, and then presented it all pretty like. Sorry when I eat chinese (being half chinese already) I want more than just a plate decorations. Prom dates should be impressed, anyone with class shouldnt. more

Not Exactly Chinese 12/14/2002

My friend and I decided to try P.F. Chang's one evening after receiving recommendations from other people who had tried it out. It's the trendiest appearing Chinese restaurant I've ever been. The service is pretty good. However, it seems odd that I was the only Chinese person in the whole restaurant, including the kitchen. The menu items were more Americanized than the typical Chinese restaurant. The food was mediocre to the Asian palate. However, what was most memorable about this dining experience was the acute gastrointestinal maladay my friend and me suffered soon after the meal. If you want to try out a trendy restaurant, I suppose this may the place. But, if you want to dine at a good Chinese restaurant, I would find a place where there are many more Asians are dining. more

A Chain??? 12/12/2002

How could the people of Denver possibly name an Americanized Chinese Chain as one of the best restaraunts in town. I guess that explains why real restaraunts with extraordinary food, like Radex, didn't survive. We might as well add the Panda Express to the list too. The food isn't even any good. The Mongolian Beef has tasted like fish both times I've tried it. The only thing worth going there for is Lettuce Wraps and they aren't even all that good. more

Ok for a chain restaurant... 12/12/2002

Food, service, ambiance, prices .... all ok. But simply another chain restaurant, and these simply are not my ""cups of tea"". Too ""kitzy"" for my tastes. Pros: Service Cons: Price, Quality more

McChang's 12/5/2002

Chinese food cooked by Ronald McDonald accompanied by a seriously tedious lecture on the subject of: ""have you ever had sauce before?"". Pssst! Don't tell anyone, but I don't think P.F. Chang is a real person. Pros: location Cons: not Chinese more

Not what I expected 11/9/2002

The food is not what I expected. They cook everything with pre-package vegetables. Pros: atmosphere Cons: expensive, not authentic chinese more

Exquisite! 11/9/2002

P.F. Chang's is an excellent dining experience. I recommend it to anyone who has the slightest delight to Chinese food. It's a definite pleasing! more

China's Best 11/8/2002

Great Food, just a little noisy to carry on any sort of conversation with out yelling. Pros: Food, Services, Reasonable Cons: Noise, Parking more

Chain restraunts are blah 11/8/2002

Same ole Same ole stuff, every one of the has the same thing!!!! boring I suggest small mom and pop authentic restraunts! more

Chain Chinese? Please... 10/30/2002

I'm embarassed to note that the unsophisticated Colorado palate would vote for P.F. Chang's, a chain restaurant not even run or developed by any Chinese people, as being one of the best Chinese restaurants. Food there is as American as apple pie, and not even as tasty. The ambiance doesn't even have one iota of anything Chinese about it - it looks more like a ski lodge. more

overrated 10/25/2002

Food is just so-so. Ambiance is good, service is ok. Try Imperial or Jade Garden for real Chinese in Denver. Cons: long wait, food is average more
