Unfair collection/Doctor practices 9/30/2010

I find it extremely unprofessional in the way my account was handled. I was waiting for my new serum to arrive. The nurses kept telling me it would be here any time. Summer can and I went on a few small vacations to see family and when I got back I call to check to see where the new serum was at only to find out that my account had been closed and sent to collections. I had no notice that it was going to be sent to collections. I made regular payments to the dr's office. NEVER did anyone say there was a problem with my account, EVER! I would be extremely careful when dealing with this company, because that is what they are a typical corporate company where doctors and staff only treat you as a number. The lack of communication by the credit / receptionist is unprofessional. I now get to deal with a collection company and am fighting the fact that it is in collections. This has not been fun and is unfair. I always pay my bills, there is no reason why I wouldn’t, I created them. So now, Because of my allergies and asthma I have to continue to get shots and needed to be retested and start over with a different doctor’s office. One who treats me like a patient. more

Great doctors, great care, life changing for me 1/4/2006

I had been suffering from sinus infection after sinus infection. I was missing a lot of work, always tired and never had any energy. I visited Gail Shapiro after finding her on a best doctor's list and she really is. While I've always felt that other doctors just thought my symptoms were psychosomatic or something because I'm not sneezing all the time, Dr. Shapiro took my illness seriously - and uncovered through scratch tests that I'm allergic to almost everything. She has continued to refine my treatment and now I sleep through the night and I'm not sick nearly so much. Everyone I've dealt with in both the Seattle and Redmond offices has been very knowledgeable and pleasant. The one thing I think they might want to consider is adding some alternative care. While I wasn't discouraged from seeing an acupuncturist, I wasn't encouraged either. My acupuncturist (Dr. Amy Chen) told me to stop eating dairy, sugar and nuts and while that has been hard, it's also been an important part of the puzzle in helping me feel better. more

Dr Mary Lasley 9/22/2005

All of the docs here are good and helpful for us allergy suffers. I seem to feel most at ease with Dr. Mary Lasley best. She has a sense of humor and an air of confidence about her that makes me feel I am in good hands. She introduced me to a natural sinus health maintenance tool I will always use. It is called Sinus Rinse by a company called NeilMed. You can see more about that at www.sinusrinse.com or www.neilmed.com.
