If you need any work done on your hand or wrist...this IS the place. I know, I sound like I've had a lot of different medical issues happen to me this year, well...you're right! So, I've been around. I had a cyst removed from my wrist last month, and they've been sooo professional and nice - even though many times my 2 year old was with me at the appointments! I've never had to wait 'cause they're always on time, which is so nice, and they have a great therapy room upstairs as well! Anyway, it's definitely above many others.

If you are looking for an Endocrinologist look no further! Fran Rocks! She is extremely nice but also knowledgeable. It makes sense that a specialist should be up on the latest studies and info in the field and Fran is. She can quote what's out there and explain how this applies to you. I am so glad to have found her and wouldn't trade her for any other endo. She may be a bit difficult to get it to see but she's worth it!
PS - if you are looking for someone who knows about PCOS she is a great resource.

Here is a very caring,competent cardiologist. You are definitely not just a number here....and the care is top notch...I have had an irregular heartbeat for years and been told by many physicians that it was a heart murmur...Dr. Broudy diagnosed it as heart palpitations immediately and began an oral therapy that has changed my life!!!!! I no longer have the lingering palpitations and I feel great....He lets me participate in my therapy and listens like no one ever has....I have been able to wean down my dose ( with his watchful eye and blessing) and am very happy with the outcome. He is a very concerned physician and never lets anything get overlooked....He is in a great practice with many other specialists in the field...and if he doesn't think your problem can be helped in his area of expertise he will find you the right practitioner...His staff is great and the view is fabulous...( they just moved into the Nordstrom Tower on the 15th floor)..hopefully most of you will never need him ...but if you do...he's tops in my book!!!! ( HIs group is Seattle Cardiology)

Dr. Trumble at the University of Washington is an excellent surgeon. Unfortunately, I now have 3 surgeries under my belt with Dr. Trumble. It is my understanding that he is a very reputable hand surgeon (all 3 of my surgeries), but I believe that he is renowned in other areas. Dr. Trumble is also open to other non-surgical techniques and alternative therapy - he is not simply surgery-happy.

I've gone to Lili Sacks for the past 8 years now. She is wonderful, as is her nurse. I have never felt rushed and always feel that she listens, even if I'm rambling on about some relatively minor complaint. I've never had a problem getting a referral for specialty care or physical therapy for injuries etc. She is a mom to 2 kids, and relates to all the things we moms have going on that impact us physically and emotionally. The only drawback is that she does not have office hours every day of the week. When I've had a need for same-day or immediate care, I have been able to see someone else in the practice, without problem.

I have a particularly challenging case of rheumatoid arthritis and have been seeing Dr. Carkin for about 5 years. She is excellent technically -- she really knows her stuff. But just as important, she is a great communicator: she LISTENS and she works with you to understand how you're doing as a whole. She understands that any illness (or treatment) affects many parts of your life and works with you to make a plan that fits with what's going on with your whole life. She always takes the time to listen to you.
She makes sure that you understand what has been discussed and what the plan is for going forward. She writes down the important points and plans at the end of each appointment; you get a copy and she gets one.
I've dealt with quite a number of doctors over the years and she is exceptional. She's been rated on of the area's best doctors by Seattle magazine. She recently changed practices (from Minor and James to The Seattle Arthritis Clinic) and I gladly followed her. I don't think I could say enough good things about her.
