When I had my baby in May 2010, the nurse did not take charge and call the on call OB when my baby's heartbeat was getting REALLY slow during contractions, she kept waiting on my OB to get out of a c-section. We waited about 30-45 minutes so scared and stressed out then we finally insisted they call the hospital OB. When he was delivered, the cord was around his neck. SO terrible to know and go through. Also, after he was born they didn't take his blood sugar correctly and it turned out that it was DANGEROUSLY low and he was getting shaky and jittery and just not right so someone took his blood sugar again and it was so low, they gave him formula to try to bring it up. Again. Scary and unnecessary to go through. He could have had serious problems if it had gone undetected. Lack of competent people in charge over there, in my opinion. more

My experience at NAMC: I had a biopsy done at the day surgery and I had a good experience with the doctors and medical staff. Then a complication came up because of my hypertension. So I was sent to the ER because of hypertension. I was checked out by the nice medical staff. I thought that the doctors and nurses were doing a good job but then I was left alone and nobody was checking up on me. They forgot that I was there. I kept waiting for several hours. I think that they have a shift change problem. Their ER personnel changes shifts and the patient is forgotten. I wrote an e-mail to NAMC to let them know about it and they have never contacted me with a reply. They are charging me a lot of money for the ER bills and my insurance doesn't cover it. They should have the common decency to reply to me since I am being charged so much money. Pros: Good doctors and competent medical professionals Cons: Patients can be forgotten that they exist more

My doctor frequently sends me to this ER for care he can't provide. I have had nothing but exceptional care everytime I have been there. The staff is always very knowledgable,kind and courtesy, not only to me, but my family and friends as well. I watch the doctors, nurses, paramedics all work together, they are like one big team. I cannot think of a better ER, the staff makes you feel safe & secure. I would highly recommend this ER to everyone. Pros: Always friendly, Great Staff Cons: None more

We took our daughter to the E.R. there and it was a nightmare experience. They got over a dozen things wrong in the information they took down as she was admitted. It was like the guy wasn't even listening to her as she answered the questions. I can understand one or two things needing correction, but when you actually get tired of having to correct misinformation, that's pretty serious in a medical situation. For example, they said she was diabetic and she's not and tried to give her two medicines she'd clearly said she's allergic to. It scares me to think about people brought in who can't correct the mistakes, who have no one with them. The rest of the place seems okay, but stay away from the E. R.!
