We love this gym 4/19/2012

My daughter started taking gymnastics classes for the first time in January (she is 5). I have to say, the gym is huge. There is a lot of equipment and space for the kids. Which I like because she doesn't stand in line much. My daughter absolutely LOVES coach Liz. She has learned so much since January, they say she is almost ready to move up to a harder class. I am so proud and very happy we found this gym. I have suggested this gym to my friends whose daughters would like to try gymnastics. It's a great place. more

I have 4 girls and a boy. All of them have been through Mark's gym. NO ABUSE AT ALL. Mark is a family man himself. more

National Elite is TOTALLY safe! 8/27/2011

I have been doing gymnastics at national elite gymnastics for nine years now. I can reassure everyone that there is no, ABSOLUTELY NO, child abuse or neglect. The person who said there was is obviously wrong! I think I would have noticed child abuse or neglect after nine years so that review is RIDICULOUS!!!! Some people just don't know what they are talking about! more

No child abuse or neglect. Great summer camp! 8/22/2011

The majority of kids who go to this summer camp love it and always want to return. The counselors are fun and care about the kids. The director (Jennifer) is SO caring and patient with the kids, and she loves coaching gymnastics. The kids love her (as do their parents)! She treats EVERY kid fairly, and always has their safety in mind. The campers always have a blast. This review below looks to me like an angry parent whose kid received a sunburn on a hot summer day and is attacking everyone who works at the gym. The parent is given a schedule of when the kids go outside, so he/she has full knowledge of when the campers would be at the pool. The parents are asked to sunscreen their kids before they come to camp. The counselors often remind the kids to drink water out of their water bottles (that they are required to bring everyday)! Before they go to the pool, the counselors ask everyone to line up for sunscreen. Later, another counselor goes down the line and asks each kid if they received sunscreen. I'm so sorry that this parent feels this way. It is sad how he/she is placing blame on every single person, especially Jennifer. He/she doesn't know how wonderful of a person she is, and how she has the camper's safety at the forefront of her mind. more

Avoid this place!!! Child abuse & neglect 8/6/2011

My 6 year-old son went to this camp in July - we made it 4 days out of the week we paid for. On Wednesday of the week, Jennifer the camp director tells me they had 2 kids get heat stroke so they were going to limit outdoor activities- it was a week of 105 degree temperatures. The next day when we picked up our son, he was laying in a ball by himself while children played around him, the counselors were playing grab tail without a care in the world and there he is completely unwell. Our son was flushed from heat stroke and he had a sunburn after we had sent him to camp with Sunscreen (per their request). Our son told us the counselors did not apply his sunscreen since he did not ask them to and when he told the counselor he felt ill in the heat, they kept him outside until the group was ready to go inside. We phoned the director but got a girl at the front desk who giggled at my dismay and disbelief at my son's current condition. Jennifer, the camp director phoned me an hour and a half later and told me the children do not get sunscreen unless they ask - when we questioned her relying on 5 & 6 year-olds having the volition and where-with-all to take that responsibility - she then told me that is the consequence of our child not asking and that her 9 year-old knows enough to ask for sunscreen. Next, we asked her what time the children were outside today- she said from 1-2pm. The hottest part of the 105 degree day - and our 6 year-old child is outside without sunscreen then gets heat stroke and this is blamed on our son. We asked for Mark the owner to call us but no call ever came despite many attempts to reach him. We are sure they had no concsience about lining their pockets with our $250 tuition fee just as they had no concience about the child neglect and abuse. We figured after all of these issues were brought up to them, they would have maybe taken better precautions or implemented more awareness regarding the children we entrust them with but it was blaming the victim. These people are disgusting and despite the appearance of nice facilities, the care is neglect and indifference at best. There are better camps that could use your money so avoid this place. more

Excellent Gym 8/25/2005

I have 2 daughters that have attended classes at National Elite. Both have enjoyed their classes and have achieved the results they wanted from their classes. The gym is great for learning the basics of gymanastics on floor, beam, bars and vault. The gym also is a recognized leader in the state for producing a highly competitive girls gymanstics team for levels 4-10. Very friendly staff and excellent facilities. The picture above is incorrect..but the address is correct. Pros: Experienced Staff, Friendly, Excellent reputation more
