Good things happen at Montavilla. Both my sister and I have nice sewing/quilting machines from there. She just had hers in for a service update, and they handled it well in a reasonable time. We both recently visited the quilt show here in Portland at no cost thanks to the free tickets we picked up at their shop. Thanks for a way to spend a great afternoon. more

Sewing Machine 6/22/2020

Montavilla Sewing Center was very helpful in my selection of a new sewing machine. I wanted a machine that could handle heavy and thick fabric like layers of denim. I chose a Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118 and could not be happier with it. It was in stock and ready to pick up, even during the Covid-19. Many other merchants had no machines at all due to the massive number of face masks being made. I had almost given up looking when I decided to check with a merchant that was an actual sewing machine store. I was concerned they would also be sold out, but I was very excited to be proven wrong. I can’t thank them enough for the advice on the various types of machines since the machine I had was at least 20 years old and was very “ tired. Montavilla Sewing Center did not try to up sell me or steer me towards something I did not really want. They listened to my needs and suggested a perfect match to what I asked for. Excellent service, and I will wholeheartedly recommend them to others. Thank you all, LeAnne H. more

My heroes!!! 3/7/2020

Other repair shops were willing to give up on my pfaff 1275 and 1273.....they even sold me two 130.00 each foot pedals! At Montavilla he spent the time to really listen and at the front counter had both machines running in 15 minutes by tweaking a connection!!!!!! I love my Pfaffs and will never take them elsewhere!!!!!!! Thanks for outstanding service!!!!!! more

5 stars I really enjoy the staff at Montavilla, they are always so eager to help and provide education with the machines you buy from them. Jason is especially great to work with and Holy provides great advise and encouragement. Also if you are taking a class on a machine P.J. is fabulous. more

Only good things have happened to me at Montavilla. The staff knows all the brands they sell. They are courteous and leave you to ask questions but they are not pushy salespeople. The service staff is very competent and fast. All together I love the place! I took my old Pfaff for servicing for a long time. A couple of years ago I bought a new Pfaff and with it came very good education courses. The teacher is very knowledgeable and welcoming. more

Montavilla Sewing Center provides excellent IN-STORE repair service for sewing and embroidery machines. Their computer classes for embroidery and quilting machines make learning FUN. Employees are professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I look forward to my enjoyable classes at Montavilla! I cannot say enough about the superb experience I’ve had with Montavilla over the last 30+ Years! The combination of top of the line machines and excellent customer service makes them the only place to go for your sewing needs!!! The ongoing education through the clubs, classes and events is wonderful and always inspiring. I love that Montavilla is generous and gives back to the community both at home and abroad. Everyone at Montavilla is knowledgeable, helpful, delightful to work with, generous, happy and create an atmosphere of "wanting to be there and to work with them". I am the proud owner of several machines and have attended numerous classes. I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

sewing and serging classes 10/3/2019

I liked both classes I took - but knew the teacher from a Martha Pullen class I took 15 years ago so knew I would like her. Well prepared, nice project - help available if needed. I thought everyone was very enthusiastic and pleasant, which added a lot to the classes. Good location for class - and nice sewing areas. Pre class communications got confused and I didn't get a list of supplies I needed for class so needed to borrow things. Lunch on site was good. Will go back if class I am interested in comes up. Computer response very slow when I bought a serger - not Montavilla fault - Haven't finished putting my serger together, I am not sure how to attach the back spool holders. Haven't really looked back there and there are no directions in the books that came with the machine. Susan Coddington more

I purchased my new Baby Lock machine from Montavilla Sewing Center and am very satisfied with their staff and the service they provide. When I have called to order product or ask a question the staff goes the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of and product is shipped within a day or 2 if not the same day, plus they have a great supply of product in the store. I needed to take my machine in one time to have an issue looked at and they immediately fixed the problem and I was on my way, How nice is that... Also look on their website and see all the classes they offer, Montavilla events are so much fun with all the ladies. more
