Camping made easy 6/10/2002

The best thing about this park is the location. It's a VERY short drive from town, yet feels very removed from the city. The falls are lovely, if you see them at the right time of year. Be careful on holiday weekends because the campsites tend to fill up quick. And once they are crowded, you tend to lose a lot of the camping feel. I like to take a day or two off and go during the week. Bring your bike or a good pair of shoes for the trail. The scenery here is beautiful. more

Plan your urban escape 6/3/2002

Great place to bring your dog on a warm day. Although the water quality is sometimes a little iffy, the park is well-kept and hardly ever crowded. Pros: inexpensive Cons: falls often dry more
