Their teaching philosophy is great, but their business practices and customer service are terrible. They change and cancel class times without notice, have moved locations several times and are absolutely inflexible when it comes to accommodating your kids' needs, like sports injuries, vacations, school schedules and the like. I count half a dozen times when we showed up for classes and found the MALC closed without notice. They ignored my child's sport injury and insist on billing us even when we presented a doctor's statement They claim to have a ""makeup policy"" but make it impossible. They lock you into a rigid contract with a 90 day cancellation notice, in which you can be billed for services they don't deliver. After seven years of patronizing their services and referring clients, and putting up with their shoddy business practices, we couldn't take it anymore and went elsewhere. But not before trying to arrive at a reasonable solution. They won't hear it. They only want your money, whether they deliver on their promises or not. We've encountered 3 other parents in exactly the same boat, so this isn't an isolated rant. They're still trying to bill us for 2 mos. of services that they didn't deliver. In my book, honoring a contract works both ways. There are lots of other karate schools in the area. Find one that has solid customer service to back their instruction. Stay away from this one.
